The architecture is is breath taking and there are free tours that are available after the mass times on Sunday. After you get done at the Basilica, you can walk to other attractions and many great restaurants.

I have been to the Basilica several time both for wedding, funerals and simply by myself for mass, and every time I go the architecture fascinates me. Beautiful

I didn't have much time here, but was very impressed with the beautiful architecture. I didn't give it 5 stars because the parking was a little difficult.

Very nice church right outside of downtown Minneapolis. Right across the freeway from the Walker Art Center (home of the spoon with the cherry on it.) Definitely worth the trip across the bridge to see the church built in 1907. In July they host the Basilica block party with numerous national and local bands. Great time!

we have seen a hundred churches in a lot of different countries (its what we do ). this church is barely a century old but already it has a presence that most churches don't earn until they are much older.very young to classify basilica status. good stained glass windows, great confessionals, a baptismal font that is immediately inside the front... We first visited the Basilica for fun, then returned for mass. This is an amazing building with a rich history. The parish has a strong mission emphasizing social justice and is everything the Catholic Church is trying to be.

We love visiting churches and this basilica is gorgeous. Very grand, dark with stained glass windows and high ceilings. The acoustics from the organ pipes makes it feel like a very holy place of prayer. The first basilica in the country sits right here in Minneapolis!

The basilica is a gorgeous building with limited parking. Signs all say "parking by permit only". We parked on the road, which said the same thing, and checked windows. Half had a parking permit and half did not. We were planing to inquire when we got inside bur never found anyone to ask. The place was not very populated on... More

I love this basilica, the place is beautiful, peaceful. People is really friendly and the mass services are very nice. I usted to go very frequent when living in Minneapolis, even if you are not catholic worth the trip to go!
