Living the hygge life at The Salt Cave
Mar 2019 • Couples
We’re in town for fun and I saw a few places around town offering salt therapy experiences. We visited the Salt Cave. Tip- call in advance so they know how many people to expect for a Salt Cave session. The experience was very relaxing! The room resembles a sauna except it has a salt wall, crushed Himalayan salt floors, lounge chairs, 80 degree temp. A fan moves salt through the air during the session. Very comforting and relaxing experience. A great break to kill the stress!

Relaxing experience
Jul 2018
I did three individual sessions at the Salt Cave, and found the experience to be incredibly relaxing. Ended up trying both the basement and upstairs studio, the latter was more fun because the proprietor let me lay down in the salt, which as better than the chairs. Admittedly, I'm unsure of it's longer-term benefits, but I did feel relaxed and refreshed once the session was completed. Will return again for additional sessions in the winter, when I have some sinus issues, as I believe I'll feel the benefits more noticeably.

Something new
Jun 2018 • Couples
Went on an adventure and try something new. The experience was unusual and we each felt different about it. It is something to try for sure and to get full benefits for an ailment you have more than once would be better. Glad we tried it.

Something New to Try Once
Jan 2018 • Friends
... or twice, if you have a bona fide condition that salty air can help cure. We wish it was more of a ‘cave’ experience vs. just a narrow room with sand, lighted bricks and sling chairs. I think it's a great idea to offer alternative health therapies like halotherapy--and I'm grateful for the availability of this experience, but this place could be better for the price. It’s not cheap. We were happy we wound up with a private session to ourselves for the regular price--even though we did not qualify for any other discounts. It is very relaxing and it's nice to spend 45 minutes in an ~80-degree temp with your bare feet in the sand in the middle of Winter! I could definitely feel the salty-air opening up my sinuses, but others in my group didn't notice any difference. The ceiling is composed of hanging rope ends that collect the salt crystals (see photo).

You must go!

Seriously so great!!!! My son and I had the best time. It was so relaxing. We left feeling energized and 'cleaned out' he keeps asking when we are going back. Loved it! We have been about 6 times we try to go once every season. Scott is awesome and the place is the best. I bought a salt lamp and we love it.

interesting
Feb 2017 • Friends
its been quite a few months guessing early this year or last , but its bothered me since because we talked about returning and friends have asked, they were having the place cleaned, so that is a time frame. so here is my review. we had 4 people in our group. 1 person arrived very early, and 3 in our group arrived about 3 mins late. we googled directions and left our jobs early, showed 15 mins, we allowed 25 and due to traffic, never had been there before, drove as quickly as possible to arrive. the owner was outside looking for us as we pulled up. we came in, and we were not greeted, he was very hasty and our member that was there early said that was her experience while waiting. he said, hang your things there, no phones, and we were lead downstairs, told to breath, and sat in the chair. once out, we walked upstairs, kinda waited for - how was it- but - got nothing. nothing! So, I turned my back on him and we talked in our group quietly and could not wait to leave. Scott has alot to learn about customer service and making people feeling comfortable. the locking of the door when we got in, hang your stuff here, no phones, we just were not welcomed ~ and it could have been such a better experience just by saying - hey.. you are a few mins late, but, come on in, i can get you set up. A SMILE? Something making us FEEL good in your establishment. Awkward at best. Many people have talked about this place and I told them - it could be good - try it and see how the owner is with you, here was our experience. One person had sinus results, we wanted to want to go back and love the place. Make sure you are ON time so do dont feel shame. Things happen, we tried our best and allotted time. You may have a good place but the vibe we had in a place that is seeming to provide meditation and relaxation-- bothered me so long after - i had to finally say something. Be well all.

We apologize that your experience at The Salt Cave didn't live up to the hype! As our sessions start on the hour, and starting late can have a trickle down effect for all future sessions that day, we need to abbreviate our intro sometimes to stay on schedule. We had groups of 15 and 18 the next hours after and did our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. We always say hello and encourage people to focus all their attention on their breathing. Your group was no different in that regard, yet we did have to speed things up a bit. We had a nice conversation with those who arrived on time and hope that they conveyed that to you. Customers deserve the best The Salt Cave has to offer every time yet we hope that customers are understanding as well when unavoidable circumstances arrive. Since you experienced some benefits, we would love to have you come again! Hopefully giving you one free session will be enough to see you again. Give us a call if/when you are ready to schedule again @ (612) 567-2567.

Relaxed & recharged!
May 2017 • Friends
The downstairs was very relaxing and all 3 of us had varied but good results, mostly energy and sinus related. They just need a more secure way of storing belongings or a heads up not to bring valuables. Customer service could improve though.

Soothing and Relaxing
Feb 2017 • Family
Have been here several times and loved it each time. Once you get settled in your chair and lay back the sounds of the ocean are soothing and the warmth of the room is very relaxing. Breathing in the Himalayan Salt has helped me any time I have the sniffles. I am usually comfortable in a tank top and yoga pants, and you do get a bit dusty with a layer of salt, but nothing that can't be brushed away. The 45 minutes is well worth the price for the peace, relaxation and health benefits a session offers.I would recommend making an appointment because sometimes the sessions fill up fast depending on the time of day.
