Visited the Salt Cave not too long ago and the experience was amazing. Love that they have calming sounds playing during the session. My sinuses were draining after the session ended and I felt very relaxed. Both caves are beautiful and I recommend this place to everyone!

My excellent wife and I have been here twice. Very interesting the first time I had been to the gym and used the sauna just before going to the salt cave and my exposed skin tingled.Second time my throat and lungs really loosened up. We noticed our glasses had a very very fine powder on them. We both liked going and will go again for sure.

its been quite a few months guessing early this year or last , but its bothered me since because we talked about returning and friends have asked, they were having the place cleaned, so that is a time frame. so here is my review. we had 4 people in our group. 1 person arrived very early, and 3 in our group arrived about 3 mins late. we googled directions and left our jobs early, showed 15 mins, we allowed 25 and due to traffic, never had been there before, drove as quickly as possible to arrive. the owner was outside looking for us as we pulled up. we came in, and we were not greeted, he was very hasty and our member that was there early said that was her experience while waiting. he said, hang your things there, no phones, and we were lead downstairs, told to breath, and sat in the chair. once out, we walked upstairs, kinda waited for - how was it- but - got nothing. nothing! So, I turned my back on him and we talked in our group quietly and could not wait to leave. Scott has alot to learn about customer service and making people feeling comfortable. the locking of the door when we got in, hang your stuff here, no phones, we just were not welcomed ~ and it could have been such a better experience just by saying - hey.. you are a few mins late, but, come on in, i can get you set up. A SMILE? Something making us FEEL good in your establishment. Awkward at best. Many people have talked about this place and I told them - it could be good - try it and see how the owner is with you, here was our experience. One person had sinus results, we wanted to want to go back and love the place. Make sure you are ON time so do dont feel shame. Things happen, we tried our best and allotted time. You may have a good place but the vibe we had in a place that is seeming to provide meditation and relaxation-- bothered me so long after - i had to finally say something. Be well all.

We apologize that your experience at The Salt Cave didn't live up to the hype! As our sessions start on the hour, and starting late can have a trickle down effect for all future sessions that day, we need to abbreviate our intro sometimes to stay on schedule. We had groups of 15 and 18 the next hours after and did our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. We always say hello and encourage people to focus all their attention on their breathing. Your group was no different in that regard, yet we did have to speed things up a bit. We had a nice conversation with those who arrived on time and hope that they conveyed that to you. Customers deserve the best The Salt Cave has to offer every time yet we hope that customers are understanding as well when unavoidable circumstances arrive. Since you experienced some benefits, we would love to have you come again! Hopefully giving you one free session will be enough to see you again. Give us a call if/when you are ready to schedule again @ (612) 567-2567.

I had my first salt cave session today along with three friends. For three of us it was our first time. The first friend to arrive just before 11am found the door locked even though the store hours indicate that they are open at 10 AM. I arrived shortly after her just as the doors were being unlocked. The guy let us in and was not in the cheeriest of moods. He didn't really introduce himself and he didn't clarify who we were on the reservations list or if we were new or not. Behind us came another group of three women. They proceeded to ask a zillion questions about lamps. The last two people in our party came shortly after 11. I wouldn't arrive late because once the door is closed they don't open it again? Anyway, it didn't seem to matter as he finished with the questions of the other group and got them settled into the upstairs salt room. When he turned his attention back to our group, he directed us where to go downstairs and where the restroom was before we started our session. There was no orientation or overview of the rules, just to turn off our phones, try to refrain from talking and focus on breathing. Within the first five or ten minutes of being shut in the room became very obvious to me that my eyes were very sensitive to light behind the salt bricks. It was a bright purple-blue light. I tried to keep my eyes closed for the entire 45 minute session, however, it irritated me that I couldn't bask in the calming glow of the pink salt bricks. Even when I would blink slowly that excruciating light hit my eyes to the point where all I could see when I close my eyes were dots in the pattern of the lightbulbs. And that was with them dimmed down! Eventually I had to turn my chair away from the salt wall and toward the wood slat wall. After the session was complete, the guy working on the salt cave noticed that I was facing the opposite direction than most people do and I reported to him that the color really bothered my eyes. The second person in our group also said that that particular color is difficult for her to look at for long period of time as well. The guy apologized and said that he doesn't usually use that color, but that he would switch it up today. Then he remarked that the group that entered the salt room after us commented that the blue light bothered them too and requested him to change it. If I would have known that the light color was changeable I would have done something about it. I was new, I had no idea. I was there not for any colds or respiratory relief, but purely for stress relief. I did not experience stress relief. About 30 minutes after I left the cave I had a mild headache that continued to linger on all through the rest of today. When I found out that the color could be different I did end up purchasing the introductory 3 session package because I really do want to give it another try. I had imagined that the experience would be in that natural calming Himalayan pink salt glow. I will make sure I get that next time.

We are so sorry you had such a lousy experience! After seeing this review a couple weeks ago, we decided to call right away and follow up on how we could make this better. We had a great conversation on the phone and you had indicated that you would make adjustments to your review to reflect the fact that we had been willing to add a session to your package to try and make you feel as good as possible. It has been two weeks since that conversation and it's unfortunate for us to see that no changes have been made. Many aspects of your review are extremely subjective and we felt the need to clarify since you either changed your mind or never had any intention on updating this review despite what we discussed on the phone. We do our best not to over complicate things when people come in for a session. The simplicity of The Salt Cave is one of it's best traits and we explain exactly what to do before every single session (breathing and doing your best to clear your mind). We greet everyone who comes in and do our best to show how grateful we are for there visit. Personalities are different and hopefully those differences are considered and respected at all times. We felt terrible when you told us how bothersome the blue lights were and we were frustrated that the solution was so simple. We hope that in the future, you do not subject yourself to uncomfortable experiences. Most often if people are made aware that there is a problem they will make every effort to fix that problem. Again, we offer our sincerest apology about your experience and did all we could to make it right. We are disappointed that you have not amended your review. We hope that your next session is so fantastic that you will write another review about your amazing time!

The downstairs was very relaxing and all 3 of us had varied but good results, mostly energy and sinus related. They just need a more secure way of storing belongings or a heads up not to bring valuables. Customer service could improve though.

I went there with a few girlfriends one weekend. The "cave" is calm, relaxing. So calm and relaxing that we all fell asleep! We were there for approx. 1 hour.

We got a good deal on it, but I don't know if I would pay full price for a visit. I would recommend trying at least once though!

This was a great experience. My husband bought me a session for my birthday. It is great for stress relieving and asthma. I recently suffered a severe asthma attack and after my visit I felt great. We plan to take our daughter there for her asthma.

I had this on my computer screen and my son asked me to bring him. I'm not confident all 12-year-olds could sit quietly for 45 minutes like my son did, but I'm glad that we did this. We emerged both relaxed and energized. It was definitely worth the price and our time - I'd go back more often if I lived nearby. I do wish that the fan was more quiet - as someone who is sensitive to noise, I had to get used to the fan, but focused on the ocean sounds the best that I could so that I could get the benefits of the experience.

My friend and I each have multiple health issues, especially with our lungs. We heard about the salt cave and decided to try it. My friend, was convinced it did wonders for her stress relief. It was a very restful hour. I have sensitive hearing and the constant tape of water/waves for 45 mn became irritating to me. I will have to bring headphones next time. Probably will give it another try, but it's a bit of a drive from my home.

Went with a friend for a first-time session and found it to be very relaxing. Nice alternative to spa time. I found myself nodding off. Loved the smell of the salt and the soothing pink glow in the cave.
