The Skywalk is very nice in a town like Minneapolis with their extreme weather, we felt safe at all times and were able to walk from our hotel to Target Field without going outside

Skyway system connected to our hotel and covers all of the downtown area, lots of shop, food places, banks etc. Can go all the way to U,S. Bank stadium or Target field as well.

Miles of interconnected system throughout the stores and bushiness in downtown Minneapolis. Very easy to get lost so keep a track of your way around. A must thing to do when the weather is bad or just for fun to get your exercise in while...More

If for nothing else, walk the skyway to see views of the city. It is really functional, and even in summer, it's useful (on hot days).

We dodged the rain drops by walking to the convention center from the hotel. The skyway is filled with a lot of little shops, restaurants, etc.

I would suggest getting on google maps to figure out which bus stop/bus route will be the closest to you. I believe a 742 or 747 are Plymouth express routes that go into downtown(make sure you know the time of the last route... More

You can use the light rail system, for about $2 each way. You can catch it at the airport and if goes to Target Filed which is just a short walk to downtown.
