This is great system to use when there is extreme temperatures or weather. You can pretty much get around everywhere by using the Skyway system.

This system of getting around must be a real blessing in the winter. You avoid crowded streets and miserable weather, This system is like the NY subway system without trains. There are signs and maps available to show you where to go. It is really wonderful

the best way to avoid the very hot and humid summer heat. A true marvel of imagination for the Twin Cities

As a visitor to Minneapolis you must venture into the Skyway system. It's like a city within a city. The only negative aspect is the navigation/route. They need to place more signs to guide you to where to walk.

It's strange for me to be reviewing the skyway, but I know it is a curiosity to tourists here. They think of a hamster habitat. But it very hot or very cold weather, you can't beat it. Sometimes, unlike the street, it is difficult to know where you are relative to where you want to go. There are maps posted,... More

I've used skyways in several cities, and this one seems very well maintained and is one of the more attractive. But it's also the most confusing one I've ever been in. There doesn't seem to be maps posted in the skyway itself (at least not easy to find), so as a tourist it's very disorienting. There are signs that indicate... More

I could conveniently walk to any of the destinations in downtown without worrying about safety. Clearly marked skyway.

It can be a bit confusing at times, but it gets you anywhere in the city. Great if it is rainy. Wish they would do a better job with signage to direct you to landmarks. Kind of like what they do in Venice with directions to the Rialto or Saint Mark Square.

During the winter or inclement weather the skyways cannot be beat. Most restaurants are on Skyway level. Their are food trucks in warmer months on the Marquette.

I've lived in dt for 27 years. Walk 5 miles a day in the skyway 6 months out of the year. Covered every part. Fantastic addition from core dt to new US Bank stadium. Cannot beat the Minneapolis skyway.
