Great way to make your way around the city without going outside. We walk through several of these skyways and avoided the wind. I now know how a gerbil feels. What a life

On a cold winter day you can challenge yourself to see how far you can go without having to go outside. Legend has it you can walk for miles. Lots of little interesting shops to see along the way.

It appears one must be very familiar with the skyway on the Nicolette Mall to find the skyway useful as there is inadequate signage if there are any signs at all. We were not the only confused visitors and had people asking us where stores...More

If you don't want to go outside in the cold, definitely use the Skyway. The stores are not all open on Sunday. There are many options for shopping and to use the Skyway to ge to your destinaton.

Our tour guide told us that much of the Skyway System is privately owned by the buildings it connects. Interesting. The Skyway connects the 2nd floor of of over 80 buildings and 11 miles of downtown Minneapolis.

No electric car rentals yet. There is that car share rental service in the city called ZipCar, and those are smart cars....
