This tour of Minneapolis lakes can easily be done in a day. Signage is excellent. Trail users are typically well behaved and the scenery is not to be missed. Be sure to visit the Lake Harriet band shell. A treat from another era.

An extensive pathway for biking and walking. I only walked a portion of it but if I lived in the area, it is definitely worth exploring most of the pathways.

Enjoyed the trails however a little disappointing that Minneapolis bike trails appear to be designed for recreation and not transport as they fail to connect with each other.

If you have a car, this series of parkways is a wonderful driving tour of the neighbourhoods, parks and lakes in Minneapolis. We recommend stopping for lunch or a drink on the lakeshore at Harriet Lake.
