The Museum of Russian Art is the only museum in North America devoted to preserving and presenting all forms of Russian art and artifacts. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, the Museum’s multi-level galleries provide a tranquil and intimate setting for TMORA’s exhibitions and educational events. Now on view: Women in Soviet Art: focusing on the representation and self-representation of women in Soviet art, this exhibition explores the roles and perspectives of women under the Soviet system from the 1950s–1980s.Jewish Life in the Russian Empire: Exhibited for the first time in 1867 at the seminal ethnographic exhibit in Moscow, the photographs depict a unique record of Jewish life in Tsarist Russia. It tells the story of Jewish communities within the Pale of Settlement, a region where permanent residency of Jewish peoples was allowed. Jewish Life in the Russian Empire will be on display in the lower gallery.

My sister and I went to see the Faberge collection currently on display. Beautiful items that are not often seen. We totally enjoyed looking at the exquisite items make for the aristocracy back in the day. We also viewed the display of the czar/czarina pictures, the Christmas display in the lower level and, of course, the lovely impressionistic paintings of... More

My wife and I enjoyed the beauty and uniqueness before us. At every turn we found a beautiful and meaningful prize of art, furniture and Russian Life presented to us in a unique fashion. A+.

The Faberge exhibit has been at the Museum since October 8, 2016 and will continue their until February 26, and is quite remarkable as it feature pieces from private collections and museums in the US and Europe. Many of the more than eighty pieces have been previously unseen or are little known works by Faberge. Among my favorites were the... More

My group went here over Christmas to see the Faberge exhibit. There were three floors of art in various forms. I was pleasantly surprised to find an exhibit on Russian Christmas tree decor. The exhibit covered the time period before and during the Soviet era. There were unique folk ornaments exhibited from Russian folk stories unknown to Americans. Anticipating this,... More

A gem of a museum housed in an old church, the exhibitions are fantastic and change often. The space is 3 levels all accessed by stairs or an elevator. The upper level was difficult for me to navigate as it has an open circular balcony feel with half glass walls (like at a mall) and my fear of heights couldn't... More

This church-turned-gallery is as interesting for its design as for its contents. The gift shop is superb.

I met a friend here and we were greeted by a friendly older gentleman who was very welcoming and gave us an overview of the different exhibits currently there. Apparently they change every few months. The admission is a modest $10, and the museum is small, we spent 2 hours here but moved pretty slow. They had some great faberge... More

We went here using a Groupon and am very glad we did! The museum was well laid out with interesting exhibits and they even had a guided tour which where they gave fascinating information on the times, culture and the artists and how they all melded together to result in the works of art on display. If you have an... More
