A must-go-to lake during the summer because they have fun recreational activities like kayaking, water paddling, standup paddle boarding and also famous for their fish and chips!

One of the best lakes of Minneapolis. Excellent area of a run in any season. Bike rental also available but not around the year.

It's a beautiful day, don't like the prospects in your fridge... Stop by Chipolte or Wholefoods grocery for a takeout picnic around lake Calhoun and a nice view of downtown. Best to bring your own blanket as the picnic tables are limited. If you have...More

A must see in Minneapolis, it was freezing but there were still people walking on the lake, playing with their dogs, running etc. Was great to walk around the lake for a few mins, really a pretty and calm place to visit

Lake Calhoun is located in a beautiful area with fantastic homes surrounding. Tine Fish is located right on the Walking path and the food is delicious. Great place in the summer for lunch or watching the sunset.

I didn't pay anything. As everyone has mentioned, free to walk, picnic in the lawn etc. I didn't pay for my street parking.

I believe there are kayaks at Lake Calhoun. You can check the Minneapolis Park aboard site for the fee structure but I recall seeing them there.
