Nice Area

The lake is 3 miles around, so it makes for a nice walk and great people watching! You can also rent kayaks, play volleyball, or just relax on one of the beaches or grassy areas,

Lake Calhoun is a little over 3 miles around. It has sailboats to watch, and you can rent canoes . There are several beaches there. It has good food at the outside restaurant "Tin Fish" Good people watching.

3 miles around. Great for walkers and biking. Each has its own track. Beautiful scenery with a place to rest, have some ice cream and enjoy the ambiance. Boats can be rented.

Went for a walk around the lake with our dog and enjoyed it immensely. Great spot in the midst of the city. Parking was pretty full for a midday break, so plan accordingly.

Lake Calhoun always provides a peaceful walking experience. Definitely worth a trip if you like to be outdoors -- there is biking, kayaking, etc. as some other options.

Exploring Minneapolis, we took Nice Ride MN's bikes at the dock station on W Lake St. Easy, convenient. It was a nice scenic ride to explore the Lake, $8 for an hour. Recommend to spend half day cycling around the lake (actually around trip is an hour at your leisure) and having lunch at Tin Fish restaurant. Relaxing.

Me and son started kayaking I having no previous experience of kayaking. It took be few wrong strokes to learn correct way of kayaking. It was great fun.... More

We ate lunch at Tinfish which is located in the park, and when we were done eating, we kayaked on Lake Calhoun. It was easy to rent the kayaks, and life jackets were provided. It was absolutely awesome.

Tons of folks enjoying this area - 3 lakes, a bike trail, walking path, boat rentals, and lovely houses lining the lakes. Saw kayaks, paddleboards, joggers - the gamut. Wonderful for family activity.
