This is yet another Minneapolis urban lake to spend some time at. The wide paved trails allow for running, biking, skating, or just good old fashioned strolling. The lake is right beside you so the lake views will be very enjoyable. Be prepared for crowds,...More

This is a great place for a walk (or bike ride). Wide paths, very clean, paid parking. At one end you can rent small boats and there is a order at the counter eatery that is pretty good.

We both walked and rented bikes to go around this lake and lake Harriet. Beautiful views and amazing walking/biking paths. If you are wanting more than the Mall of America, you must take a jaunt around these lakes.

I believe there are kayaks at Lake Calhoun. You can check the Minneapolis Park aboard site for the fee structure but I recall seeing them there.
