A good chance to visit the neighbourhood north of the river but I wasn't very impressed by the food choices. It seems to be designed for American tourists as very little American food is included, which I had really expected to be the theme. Most time was spent outside. The tour would be improved if more of the restaurant staff... More

This was our fist visit to MNPLS and as we typically do, one of the first things we do when visiting a city is to go one a food tour. We are firm believers that food is the window to the soul of a city and it helps when you have a world class guide. Mary Jo was quite the... More

We are tour freaks; wineries, bourbon distilleries, baseball bat manufacturers, chocolatiers, etc. The Twin Cities Food Tour was the best. The restaurants were local with a heavy emphasis on family ownership. Our tour guide, Elin, was very qualified and knowledgable about food and the history of Minneapolis and the "Nordeast" area in particular. The tours are restricted to twelve people... More

This was our first walking food tour and we had a great time. Our guide Rebecca was very knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants we visited. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Minneapolis or even if you are a resident.

I organized a group tour through Twin Cities Food Tours and everything about this experience, from planning and communication, to the tour itself was excellent! We learned quite a bit of local history, including tidbits that even many locals don't know. There was more than enough food (we sampled pierogies and sausage, Neopolitan pizza (along with the most delicious salad... More

Visited 7 neighborhood restaurants with unique food samples. Walked about 1-1.5 miles over 3 hours. Wonderful guide (Rebecca [sp], very knowledgeable, patient, personally knew about every restaurant and, it seemed, every owner. I live in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis & St. Paul) and would recommend this to anyone visiting or living in the Twin Cities. Found some new restaurants and... More

We took the afternoon tour and Mary Jo was our guide. We had a great time. It was interesting and the food was really good. We probably would not have tried some of the restaurants if it hadn't been for this tour, but we will be back to many!!

We spent the afternoon touring with Twin Cities Food Tours. Our guide was knowledgeable and we met some wonderful local ladies and other tourists who had also booked the tour. We got to know a bit about the history of the area and enjoyed some great food.

We went on the historic NE Minneapolis tour with little previous exposure to the city. This turned out to be a great way to learn about the history of the city as a whole and about this specific area in particular. The food was great, esp (for me) the pastries from the Gardens of Salonica. The lunch at Punch was... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our afternoon with Becca as our guide on this tour. Great to know some facts about the city where I grew up and to experience the variety of locally sourced international dishes at the various restaurants on the tour. Lots of delicious food and interesting history lesson.
