- AverageJoe55Atlanta, Georgia710 contributionsGreat tour of Twins fieldTook the tour on a Sunday morning. Tour guide Lynn L was terrific and really engaged everyone while knowing great facts. She listened well also. Only drawback was trying to find the meeting point for the start of the tour - better directions are needed for that.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 19, 2024
- BAKreiterMilwaukee, Wisconsin319 contributionsTwins vs. RangersCame here for the first time on Sunday. What a great ballpark! Just a short 5-minute walk from the parking structure. While the game started at 1:10PM, they were letting people in the park more than an hour before that. The process for getting in the park was seamless! They have the same security system as Disney, so bags are not individually checked. Every ballpark needs to implement this system for optimal efficiency. As soon as we entered, they had staff offering to take Polaroid pictures of us for free, and we were given clear crossbody bags with Twins logo on the front. What a great souvenir! We explored the whole park. I was happy to find the Mickey Mouse, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Statue of Liberty Statues. We also stumbled across the enclosed rooms open to the public. They had tables and a full bar with bartender. One of them just so happened to have the woman who played the organ in it, what a treat! She was such a sweetheart and interacted with anyone who wanted to talk. The food options were excellent, offering something for everyone. We tried a brat from Kramarczuk's! We loved exploring this open-air ballpark. This is our 7th ballpark we have visited so far, and we definitely put this one as one of our favorites!Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 28, 2024
- Harmony177Las Vegas, Nevada201 contributionsNiceWe took the VIP tour and saw a game. I thought the VIP your would include special dressing for the fireworks, but they canceled the show. I'd probably do the regular tour not the VIP if I knew that. However, the stadium is beautiful. I'd recommend checking it out.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 30, 2024

- Pauline ZCrystal City, Canada34 contributionsParking a hassle, bring small bagsBeautiful weather (Sept. long weekend), fun activities to watch on the screen, super family-friendly place to be. Down side - food expensive as expected; parking - if at all possible, arrive SUPER early, or take an Uber - we missed 3 homeruns driving around looking for parking. Also, DON'T TAKE A BACKPACK - or water bottles. One day you're checked, next day you're not. Just take a small purse and a see-through bag so you won't have a big hassle. Rules were slack Friday, but Saturday they were very strict about what you could and couldn't take in.Visited September 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 3, 2024

At my local minor league team I feel valued and welcomed, but you don't really get the same experience at MLB games, and this was no exception. Food and drink prices were astronomical - I'd never even consider buying anything to eat or drink at this stadium and I just had to laugh when I saw what they were charging. Totally unrealistic prices (although I guess I'm in the minority as everyone else spent most of the game filling their faces). Our seats, which hadn't been marked online as restricted view, had a railing in front which entirely obscured home plate and the third base line - fortunately we were able to move to some spare seats behind, but if we'd been forced to sit in the seats we'd bought, we would barely have seen a thing. During the game I tweeted the club a quick question about some cool merch I'd seen, but never received a reply, so went home empty-handed. I'll stick with minor league.

If you’re a baseball fan, this is definitely for you!! If traveling with friends and not necessarily into sports, this could still be something for you. The actual game was a blast, and what a spectacular, spare no expense stadium! I really could have done without the massive crowds, 2 rainstorms, games delays, crappy, expensive food - but I guess that’s all part of the experience and expected. I’d still recommend a ballgame, even though this isn’t really my jam. Plus, it’s fun for people watching.
I’d also recommend buying your parking in advance (unless you arrive early enough to find a decent spot). And note to self: the store (team shirts, caps, and other memorabilia) is closed prior to gates opening (this I couldn’t understand???). Then be prepared to wait in a massive line once the stadium is open if you do want to shop. You’ll find kiosks of memorabilia throughout the stadium, but selected is limited.

Very bad food at Truly on Deck. Do NOT order the short ribs, they are awful. Two tiny cubes of meat served kebab style with raw vegetables. Cheese bread sits in a pool of oil. The fingerling potatoes on the menue were raw red potatoes. Sent them back and 20 minutes later got more raw potatoes.Murrays sandwich was better. But Andrew Zimmern's chicken was overcooked and tough. Service friendly but slow, no drink refils.

On vacation, we decided to squeeze in a baseball game. Great fun, and the Twins did not disappoint, they won. Nice stadium, great views all around. Parking however was a challenge. We reserved for indoor parking, but the area surrounding the park gets so backed up. Consider parking in one of the outside lots in the area and walking, would have been faster.

We're St. Louis Cardinals fans and we happened to be in town. So we decided to catch a game. The stadium was beautiful and clean. A great experience.
The parking situation BLEW MY MIND. Connected to the ballpark was so convenient. But leaving and we exited the parking garage and were immediately on the highway. That was astounding.
Serious props to the person who designed this.

This is the fifth ballpark I have visited. Parking was the easiest of all the parks I’ve been so far. Entry was easy. Field looked great and the place was clean. Seats were decent. We had seats in 117. Prices were fair for stadium food. The biggest disappointment is how bad the lines were for food and selection of food. Most of the food was basic ballpark food with a few different things but those were few and far and between. I saw multiple concession workers slacking off and saw popcorn getting burnt and other foods were getting overcooked. Lines were long because people had to wait what felt like forever. Gift shops were good and plenty stocked. Twins loss btw. Overall an ok day., not good not bad but just ok.

Very nice experience to see a baseball match. More interesting than expected. Even more with the Yankees playing, a team I only saw in the movies until now. But of course we supported the Twins, the local team. Beers and food far more expensive than tickets.

Excellent ballpark tour from Mr. Bob. We got to see many areas of the park that would otherwise be off limits to fans, including the dugouts, visitor locker room, suites, championship rooms, press box, underground, and on the side lines. Just don’t touch the grass! We were allowed to take many pictures, just not video due to copyright issues. This seems like an amazing ballpark. Too bad the Twins were at an away game when we were in town.

A stop on our Segway Tour. It is a nice ballpark to visit. Lots of photo ops for the taking. Great for kids as well.
You can take either green or blue metro line to get there.

We are coming down from Canada on September long weekend to watch the Jays and the twins. I'm looking for a tattoo studio near Target Field.
Thanks

Going to a 4 game series at Target Field for the first time in July. Any season ticket holders on here with premium seats near visitors dugout? Thanks in advance!

Try craigslist or Ticketmaster. There is always great tix available. It's a great ballpark and you are going to have so much fun.

Is there any free parking within walking distance of the field? Any safe areas nearby?
Written August 15, 2019
The light rail stops right in front of the stadium. If you can find parking somewhere along the route that is less expensive that might be an option.

I have a family group going to a Twins game for Father's Day. Read about the Light Rail and the NorthStar Line. Would it be better to book a hotel along one of those routes OR do a "vacation rental" near Target Field. My preliminary research is that there is a "warehouse district" .3 mile from Target Field. Is that neighborhood a good place for a four day family rental? Are there other neighborhoods that would be better to rent in and possibly then take the Rail or NorthStar Line to get to the Twins game?
Written March 17, 2019
I would not stay downtown with your family. Yes, Bloomington is a good place to stay if you can get near light rail. We live on the north side of town and take the light rail whenever we go to a Twins game. There is a lot of free parking at the stations and you don't have to fight the traffic

If we are staying we near the mall of America is there an easy way to get to the ballpark? Or are there any suggestions..much appreciated..
Written March 17, 2019
Super easy to take the rail. Uber is definitely an option too. It's really easy and quick to get around.

If we are bringing an infant ( 3 months ) and child (4) is it safe to bring a diaper bag or does everything have to come in clear bags now?
Written August 15, 2018
Yep... searched... but doesn’t have to be “clear” 😊

What type of cameras and lenses are allowed in at target field? Ex. Nikon camera with 70-200 lens
Written July 12, 2018
This is an older post, but I thought I'd mention -- I think you are prohibited from using a tripod. As far as I'm aware that's the only restriction.
