First rate cast and production! Scrooge was played by a woman actor, who was superb! Even thom the ending was well known, it was very emotional nonetheless. Redemption is never beyond us.

Went to a Christmas Carol. Nonseat us a bad seat in this theatre. Staff was very helpful and food was ok. Parking was a little tricky but worth the trouble.

Do whatever it takes to get you into this excellent venue. I suspect your first visit won't be your last and you will be able to judge for yourself whether premium pricing is warranted for "preferred" seating. Enjoy!

2 Days in Minneapolis (8 Replies)
Hi all, Minneapolis will be the third leg of a mini baseball tour my husband I are doing. We are driving there from Milwaukee Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8 and have 2 full days in the city on Friday Sept. 9 and Saturday. Sept. 10. One of those evenings we will go to the ballgame. So I am looking for fun, cool, less touristy stuff to do/food to eat, unique to Minneapolis. We are from NYC so are used to walking and would appreciate any 2-day itinerary suggestions. Some things I am...More

Absolutely Minnehaha Falls! There are some beautiful trails to follow by the river. If you are there during lunch time and like fish, the Sea Salt Eatery is in the pavilion in the park.

Thanks to all who provided suggestions for our recent visit to Minneapolis. My conference at the convention center went well and we had time to explore the city. Visited the Sculpture Garden, Loring Park, Guthrie Theater (Endless Bridge and Amber Room had excellent views), Mill City Museum, walked the Heritage Trail along the Mississippi to see St. Anthony Falls and saw a barge going through the locks, attended Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary, walked Nicollet Mall and ate outside several...More

Sorry to hear about the falls. It's been that way for months, unfortunately. Driest summer I can remember. Although we just got about 6 hours of rain. That should restock the creek. It's quite a magnificent sight after a nice rain.

Holidays in KC (6 Replies)
I'll be spending Christmas in KC this year and am stumped, here's the dilemma. I usually gift my family with an experience - theater, sporting event, fine dining, etc. However, I'm SHOCKED at the exorbitant prices the Rep is charging for A Christmas Carol! They're 30-50% more than our world-famous Guthrie Theater production. Ok, aside from the complaining, I'd really like to share a great KC experience with them. Any thoughts? I am no longer familiar with KC and would love to hear about...More
