Nicollet Mall is filled with many wonderful restaurants including food trucks during the week. There is also shopping throughout the Mall including my favorite Marshalls and a huge Macy's. It is under construction right now, but all the stores and restaurants are still open.

We had a few hours of downtown on Saturday afternoon so we decided to walk to the Mall. There is a lot of construction in front of the Mall. As a matter of fact there was construction all over downtown Minneapolis. The Macy's was having a great sale. I thought I was going to have to purchase a suitcase to... More

We were in town on a Sunday and decided to visit the Target located here. It was great! It was much larger than our local store with a huge selection and more stock. I found things that had sold out at our store weeks ago plus more. I wouldn't fight weekday traffic but Sunday was perfect. Also, free parking with... More

even if the construction wasn't going on, the selection of stores is really disappointing. most of the stores are national chains that you can see anywhere. it should be filled with unique local shops that you wouldn't find anywhere else. there should also be more unique eateries. don't go unless you're using it as a short cut.

Lots of interesting restaurants and bars along this walking mall. Also get down to the river for a really interesting walk.

Nicollet Mall was once one of those must see places. While it still has some neat things and is in close proximity to a lot of other neat stuff It is currently all tore up and not as much as it once was to visit First Avenue is close by, so is Target Field. Maybe once it gets done it... More

Love the area. Only wish the shopping hours extended into the evening. Of course, there's always a train to the Mall of America. But it's not nearly as convenient when you're staying downtown.

The entire area seems that it is under construction. It was a bunch of stores that you would find in a regular mall, but they were located in storefronts in the city. If you lived in the city, I am sure that this would be convenient. But as someone from the suburbs who can drive to a mall already, it... More

Here you can find bars, taverns, restaurants, stores, anything you will like if you are a tourist and all within waling distance. If you plan to stay in downtown look for something close, here is the action. During our visit we noted many the city works on the street and sidewalks. But it was not an issue for pedestrians.

Attended a conference at the end of the Mall (12th St) while staying at a hotel further up (5th St). Took a trial run at the beginning of the week and gave up after about two blocks. Due to construction and overall inhospitable nature of this street, I chose to use LaSalle instead. Fortunately, I got this advice from a... More
