We stopped by several stores. If you are in the area you may want to check out the Target store just so you can use the shopping cart escalator. It's a pretty fun thing to see with your kids. We also enjoyed stopping in a few more of the shops and viewing the streets and buildings of downtown Minneapolis. Easy... More

You can find whatever you want here. I saw Frye boots on sale at Macy's for amazing prices! The skyway keeps you in climate control. There are hotels. Literally, you could spend all week-end here!

It's under construction so it's very difficult to enjoy at the moment. Looks like it's going to be a looooong time before they finish too.

Walking along Nicollet is one of my favorite things we did in Minneapolis. There are so many fabulous restaurants and shops to peel off and stop in!

Its like an open mal dowtown and it has everything you need: a Target, a Macy's with a great food court, library, fancy stores, drugstores, good restaurants and bars... you name. If you saty in dowtown you don't need leave for anything.

The Mall has evolved over the years and the many restaurants and food trucks are giving it a very different feel....the sidewalk cafes are very European while the food trucks are so Californian/Seattle/Portland. It is a very lively scene during the business day, engaging everyone.

This is a great place to shop, especially in the evenings for Christmas, as it has lights then & other decorations. There are wonderful deals to find when things are on sale. No traffic can drive on this street either.

Just happened to be in downtown area for work than deiced to walk down Nicollet Mall for the heck of it, and I can honestly say it was well worth it. No cars in this street. Different shops and some street vendors. I grabbed a cup of coffee and just enjoyed watching and talking to people. Everybody should do it.

Tried checking out the shops but it was like running a gauntlet due to all the construction going on. Glad we were walking; driving there isn't easy as equipment continues to move and 'block' access. Had to take a cab to a salon one morning; driver couldn't pick me up where he dropped me off as that street was blocked... More
