Had a chance to visit the University of Minnesota to witness our niece's graduation. The campus is really lovely. Very modern and spread out. The student housing is outstanding. The restaurants are plentiful and easy to reach. We loved the trains running through campus.

This university has been planned and well laid out. I highly recommend looking at the architecture. Many old buildings are marvelously well kept. Interesting details from the late 1800s will leave you fascinated. I was there to do some workshops, and my team stayed in Yudof Hall, a modern dorm, which had a towel service and linens supplied. The clean... More

I work at the university in Minneapolis now and then, and am always delighted by the ease of navigating not just the University, but the whole metropolitan area! The locals are all helpful and pleasant, there is an abundance of delicious eateries, breweries, and bike paths. You can rent a Nice Ride bike and get pretty much anywhere you want... More

My favorite area to walk is the East bank and west bank. So much to see and appreciate. Weisman Art museum, designed by Frank Gehry, is free to the public and always has a very good collection of art being exhibited. Look up "Heritage Trail" for a self guided walking tour of the U that highlights the architecture and historical... More

My daughter can not wait to start hear in the fall. The people and administration are very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable knowing she was attending a school that... More

The University Library system is awesome. Like everything else in Minnesota there are wonderful people, interesting displays, and amazingly clean areas. The campus is big, but lots of signs, and places to sit with beautiful trees.

This jewel is nestled in a quaint area of town. Beautiful buildings, excellent landscaping and an amazing "new" football field. I was very impressed.

That is tough to get in because of rising ACT scores, much to the regret of some Knoxville folks whose children attended local private high schools. Tough on the football field but preseason top 10 this year.

Fior a big school, it is very comfortable to visit. The landscaping is beautiful and there are several exhibits available. We enjoyed seeing it by bike.
