Great movie choices, clean, fantastic atmosphere, amazing prices, wine bar and coffee shop across the street! Love the neighborhood. 4 of us went to a 4:45pm movie for $8!

Best popcorn in town and it feels like a experience when you go. Absolutely the best prices in town but make sure you have cash. It's cash only!

I live in the same neighborhood as the Riverview theater and love going there to see movies! Even though they usually show movies that have already been in other theaters for a while, they also do fun events. We've gone to the Sing-Along Sound of Music and a midnight showing of The Princess Bride. Concession prices are reasonable, the seats... More

This theater has been a part of my movie going life for many decades. The theater hosts themed movie festivals, Oscar documentaries in season, local festivals and current movies that are on the second round. How can you not love going to a movie I. The afternoon for two dollars. The decor is preserved from the 1950's. A gem to... More

I saw a Hitchcock film as part of a festival and loved this theater. I appreciate that this theater shows unique and older films. The price is good and the theater is big. The reception area is huge, with great, clean, 60's decor. Loved it. The only downside is the street parking, so get there early!

This place is wonderful! I've lived close for quite some time, and it's a real local treasure. Grab some wine across the street at the Riverview Wine Bar before you head over for a show. If you are here from out of town and staying downtown, you can get there by taking the 9 from Nicollet and 8th. The popcorn... More

Great old fashioned theater. Reminds me of downtown theaters I went to in the late 50's early 60's as a kid. Do not miss.

If you are looking for an affordable movie night to see the latest movies a week or two out of the box office this is your place. Dropped right in one of the most charming areas in the Twin Cities you can make an easy night of it. This old theatre has so much charm and the prices are impossible... More

We walked from the train station which was about a 15-20 walk. So interesting to see and be in a theater from decades ago. Overheard one lady reminisce with her sister about watching Gone With the Wind for only a quarter there. Keep in mind where you sit, the space is so small for your legs, you cannot get up... More

Stadium seating from the old days, good prices for tickets and concessions. Great place to see a movie.
