I'm planning to go Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si temple in one day. What is the best transport to get there as I have two 60+ years old elderly and 3 young children travelling with me? Can I get there by cab? The children would love to take the cable car if possible. And Which place should I go first? Penang Hill or Kek Lok Si temple??

You can get grab to the hill but the cost will be high. I suggest use the cable car which much much cheaper.Kek lok si you need to walk and go thru the stairs the you will have fun.Any way you can use car to the top.

there are a lot of stairs, but can be also visited by elderly people, slowly... but not the top of the pagoda. not suitable for wheelchair. you can drive by car to the middel and to the top. at night is especially good... More

I am not sure - I live a bit out of town - but basically the lanterns are on during the CNY +/- some days. Other occasions I don't know
