The beach is accessible via a small, curving road. For those staying near Mykonos Town, it’s not far by Taxi, but elsewhere on the island will require some degree of driving. Best bet is renting a car and there’s decent parking at the beach as Elia is connected to The Beach, a resort on the edge of the ocean.

The water is crystal clear blue with some rocks and white sands. No shells and not much wildlife, so its a perfect beach for playing in the water and lounging on the sand. We went in May, during its least crowded part of the season and the weather is hot, dry and has a nice breeze. The water is cold, but once in, has tropical currents that bring warm patches and is incredibly refreshing, even for an old guy like me.

The beach chairs are all for rent and provide a place to store your beach gear, lounge and order food and drinks. We were closest to The Beach Resort, and they have a full bar and lots of food options that were delicious. The Gyro plates - somewhat different than what we think of in the US - were incredible. The meat was tender and so flavorful.

Beach chairs are about $50-60 Euro for the pair for the day. After May, reserve the day before, if possible.

Always our favourite beach in Mykonos. This year we hired quad bikes to take us from the town to the beach rather than taking the often crowded bus. There’s plenty of space for parking close to the beach.

Compared to Paradise or Super Paradise, the beach is laid back and peaceful with a long stretch of sandy beach and hundreds of lounges, a restaurant and water sports (jet skis etc) available.

There’s a designated section for LGBTQ+ tourists which is clearly marked by flags and which is clothing optional.

Loungers and parasol are €30 each and there is friendly table service for food and drinks. It’s a blissful way to while away a few hours and we can’t wait to return next year!!

Thanks for keeping up the high standards guys!!

Love coming to Elia Beach. We stay in Platis Gialos so arrive here by the small fishing boat (Euro10 per person per day return trip). It is a wonderful 30 minute boat ride calling in at all of the beaches. Elia is a large beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas. It cost Euro 40 for 2 chairs and an umbrella which was Euro 10 cheaper than the other beaches we have been too. Great service. The water is fabulous. You can order drinks and food on the beach at your chair or wander up to the restaurant. Unlike the other beaches, you do not have loud music (which we have enjoyed) so bring your iphone and earbuds if you want to listen to music on the beach. As always, we had a fantastic day at Elia. Highly recommended.

This is insane. 35 euros a person for chairs??!! They have lost their minds. It is a pretty spot but the water is freezing. It’s extremely windy and we keep getting pelted by sand. The whole beach is full of overpriced chairs and if you want to just lay on a towel you have to to go on the very back of the beach. I don’t know why people come here. I certainly won’t be doing it again.

The beach is lovely and wasn’t overcrowded in August 2020 but make sure you make a day of it as loungers cost €25 each which is expensive even for Mykonos.
It’s easy to get to the beach from Mykonos Old Port on the local bus and the water is so clear.
Definitely worth a visit.

We were told good things about this beach, but we found it to be overcrowded overpriced and not as good as other beaches on the island.

The sun beds were 50 euros and not very comfy, the umbrellas were the small type that don’t give much shade.

Because the beach is quite long, there is less shelter and more of a current so not ideal if you ha e young kids.

We came for the day by bus from Mykonos Town which was very cheap to do. Because of the pandemic schedules were more limited. The journey was only about 20 minutes and cost 4.60 Euros return per person.

The beach is long but it's organised which means it's covered with expensive sunbed sets!! Something like 50-75 Euros which is crazy. We had our towels with us and so found a sandy spot for the day. It was super hot and so wasn't the most comfortable as there just isn't really any shade. The beach is nice and the water is lovely and clear but we were disappointed that there were hardly any spaces for those not wanting to pay extortionate costs for sun loungers (I know Tinos is different to Mykonos but the charge there was 5 Euros!). The nudist section is at the far right hand side of the beach. Lots of water sports including the powerful water jet boots which propel you into the air.

There is nothing here other than the beach and the one beach bar and so if you're getting the bus keep this in mind.

We had a nice lunch at the beach bar which was surprisingly reasonably priced. We also had drinks there before the bus home. Staff nice and food good.

Visited Elia beach for the day, due to covid travel restrictions the beach was empty ... 20euro a sunbed with umbrella, good service for drinks etc ..

Had lunch in the restaurant Which was very good.. and good value for money ..

Also took a jet sk out , 60euros for 20 minutes ..

Think we might have been spoilt visiting when so empty but great beach for a few hours of relaxation..

Beautiful beach. Don’t listen to the crybabies who complain about the 35€ fee for the lounging chair. It’s totally worth it. You’re in Mykonos live it up! Believe me we’ve been to other beaches here where we paid even more. Who cares. You can stay all day. Eat. Drink. Service is great. No one bothers you to make you feel you have to purchase anything! The water is exquisite the water sports very inexpensive. This is family friendly. Pride friendly. And unlike other places when you do want to order something you just push the button on your umbrella and a waitress will come take your order. It’s fabulous. You should put it on your to do list of things to do in Mykonos! Then go to Chora and shop and party all night!

We tried the paragliding / parachute for the first time. Wanted to do it together but the winds were too low so had to do it individually. It was fun and worth the $50 each price I would say. The staff were not overly friendly which made us a bit nervous, there was a photographer taking pics the whole time and so they get you to leave your phones and bags at the hut. We paid $40 for all of the photos he took. We enjoyed it but it would have been nice if the staff were a bit more smiley and felt like they actually wanted to be there.
