Had a hard time finding the main entrance as there is NO sign on the main road out of LuVerne! Why? Did do some hiking but disappointed that we didn't see any 'buffalo' as they are supposed to be an important attraction.

There is no drinkable water here. They need a large sign at entrance telling people no water, no showers

We spent Thursday-Sunday camping at Blue Mounds. We were coming from the Twin Cities, and on the way there I started second guessing this destination after driving through endless corn fields and small towns. Once we arrived in Luverne I started to think that the trip would be manageable with a decent-sized town around in case the park was a... More

Nice trails for walking, beautiful scenery. Our first trip to Minn. We didn't see any buffalo, but really enjoyed the walk and scenery, took a lot of pictures. We felt like we could touch the sky.

The main campground is crowded and open, but the privacy of the walk/cart in sites are worth the effort for tent camping. Carts with bicycle style wheels are available for use, but using backpacks when possible cuts down trips to and from the parking lot. Our site #12 was about a quarter mile from the parking lot, and about the... More

We enjoyed our stay here, kids loved it and the weather was agreeable. It cost too much to stay though and the issue with the water is not only unfortunate but unacceptable. Yeah the runoff from farms has happened... but it needs to be stopped and fixed.

It's a nice place for hiking, getting some fresh air and being alone with your thoughts. Nothing majestic, but worth it to spend a few hours.
