Eclectic, friendly, and fun to remember. My husband recognize the Avon perfume bottles lining Avon highway. I enjoyed the petticoat junction, Tweety bird, doc Hudson, and nemo.
But the most creative was the space ship and alien car- look inside!

When visiting my sister, we spent an afternoon at Hot Sam's. We took lots of photos - lots of memorabilia - Beverly Hillbillies, circus wagons, space ships, Jurassic Park. A fun place for all ages!!

Interesting...eclectic....weird....bizarre....fascinating. All very valid words to describe this place. Driven by it for years, finally went in. Free to drive in and park and walk around, but if you want to take pictures note that there's a $10 fee if you have a cell phone and a $25 (yes, TWENTY-FIVE) fee if you have a "digital camera". Yes, this place is kind of photographer's paradise, but if you're like me (not a professional or even amateur and I'll never ever get paid for even ONE of my photos) that $25 fee is crazy.

Went to the Mall of America on a "dream trip" of my wife's. She had one more state to set foot in to have touched all 48 contiguous states and North Dakota was it, a night in Minneapolis seemed more interesting than a night in Fargo so we did. Mall of America was not all it was described to the wife to be and we went in search of something interesting. We found it!!!! Hot Sam's, about 30 minutes south of Minneapolis on 35. I heard about this place from other travelers and this is my kind of place, if it were so hot I'd stayed all day. We met the owners, had a very lovely chat with them for almost an hour on travel and politics. We wander their property and had a really nice time. This was a treat that is not for everyone but if you are into the eclectic style of people and just want to meet a pair of very nice folks this is not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Free unless you take photos (and you will want to-too much cool to not record). A bit pricey for photos, but I've spent more on less and I felt like it was keeping a piece of Americana going. This is the kind of place that you search out on a road trip. Open people sharing their love for something. Stop in and say Hey....I think it is worth it.

We went here to look around at all the items and take photos. Free to look around, but it costed $25 to take photos of my girlfriend with my professional camera. I guess it's $10 for iPhone photos, $25 for professional camera and $50 for regular wedding/event. Very cool areas for senior/model photos with older cars and antiques though! Would recommend!

We've been here twice. Each time things have changed, but some things remain the same. It is so much fun to see all the old things, and to take photos. You do need to pay if you want to take photos, but he charge in nominal and well worth it. We'll probably go back this year. Every two years is a good interval for us.

It was interesting to say the least. It was worth the $10 to walk around and take pictures with our phone. We got lots of fun pics to add to our Roadside Attractions photo album.

Very extensive property with lots of folk art and sculptures of repurposed items. We had a great experience there!

Hot Sams has unique, one-of-a-kind pieces you won't find anywhere else! Most of the items are just fun to look at, I would have a hard time finding a place to use it. However, if you are looking for a unique, statement piece--you mind find it at Hot Sams!

Many of those who travel on I-35 northbound generally see these amazing larger-than-life items displayed along the roadside. I myself have passed this for years. Finally, the decision was made to stop in. This has to be one of the most unique, off the beaten path, creative comma fun, interesting, places I have seen. I was told that it was one man's mother who began all of it and that man has continued it for the last 30 years. He definitely enjoys his work. And anyone who goes there can not leave without enjoying themselves. There is a front desk to check in and when you walk in it's like walking back in time. So many Collectibles so many antiques. I was told everything in there was for sale and everything was negotiable. When you do visit, please keep in mind that this is a Foto Park. They do have a small fee based on what type of device you are using to take pictures. But it is well worth the price. Otherwise it is free to walk around , enjoy , and smile.
