About
Jim’s Apple Farm is family owned and operated. The family has lived and conducted business in Scott County dating back to the 1930’s. The retail site at 20430 Johnson Memorial Drive is supported by apple orchards and produce fields in Jordan and Belle Plaine. Jim’s Apple Farm is a family business that has been operating at its current location for over 4 decades. We are a seasonal business, open Mid-May through November, focusing on candy, apples, fall produce, baked goods, jigsaw puzzles and gift shop items. In addition to our own products, we offer many others that are raised or made locally by our neighbors.

WOW.....this place is unreal. There is sooooo much candy, gum, popcorn and chocolate it's overwhelming. There is every kind of candy for whatever you crave, a sweet tooth heaven. They also have dried good such as every different kind of pasta you could imagine as well as all sorts of sauces under the sun. It truly is something to see. They also have the largest collection of puzzles for sale, they're all over the place inside. We were driving by around 10am on a Sunday morning and saw it so we decided to stop in for a quick look. WRONG......2 hours later we were still shopping. I'm almost 60 and I could have probably stayed all afternoon looking at everything. It brought back a lot of memories seeing many of the flavored candies you just don't see anymore in your local grocery store. After all was said and done we dropped about a $160 on candy for not only us but for our grand kids as well. Good times....yum, yum, yum :)

The amount of candy varieties/offerings is wild! Familiar brands/candies from here in the US, but so many other worldwide options to explore, too!! Sections of licorice, chips, popcorn, taffy, honey, chocolates, soups, pop/soda, dips, jams/jellies/sauces, pasta… there’s so.much! The homemade pies are delicious and smell wonderful throughout the entire store. Delicious-looking caramel apples up front behind the checkouts are cheap and a fun treat. All kinds of vinyl sticker options to browse near the checkouts, too. The artwork throughout the interior of the building as well as the exterior is just astounding!

My family visited on a Sunday afternoon. There is plenty of parking, shopping carts & huge selection of candy, soda, pie, toys & chochkees. Very crowded & people just stop in the aisles to chat & look. Still lots of fun treats from my past, lots of families have a good time. Things are a bit expensive but everything is right now. Very nice, courteous employees. Long checkout lines but they move quickly. I’d recommend stopping here any time you drive through the area.

This was a nice stop for us during our road trip. We have our eyes on all kinds and varieties of candy. You can't think of it that crazy or it'll be sold here. All kinds of sauces are also available. There is also a huge collection of jigsaw puzzles. Don't bring spoiled children because you'll come out broke.

We stayed near Jordan, MN just so we could finally visit Minnesota's Largest Candy Store. It was such a good place to visit. It won't be the last time we detour through Jordan. The candy store does have an unequaled selection of candy including international brands. Commercial products are available as well as bulk packaged items. But the store has a lot to offer besides candy. It has one of the largest soda pop selections including off brands and weird flavors. It's collection easily rivals Pops in Arcadia, OK and its prices are more reasonable. The store has sauces, mixes, dips and baked goods including pies and apple bread. We even found sports mementos. The store is decorated with characters from Disney and Marvel. There are a number of large items to pose with. There is even a robotic candy character band. The store is just loaded with inventory and fun things to take in. It is a destination worth heading to.

Based on the name I was expecting a lot of candy, but this place blew me away. They also had a lot of sweet and salty snacks (some from foreign countries), many kinds of root beer, Harry Potter candy and butterbeer, cheese, local products such as soup mixes, puzzles… it was overwhelming. The decorations alone make this worth the visit- there’s a large Hulk, British phone booths, and the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle, among other things. The store also has clean restrooms, making it the ideal pitstop on a road trip, but plan on spending at least half an hour here, and probably more.

This is always a great stop, but the last two times we thought we were picking up a Strawberry Rhubarb pie, in June it was actually a cherry pie. Last week again we were told that it was a Strawberry Rhubarb pie, but there were no strawberries in it. You may want to make sure you are honest in your description, very disappointed, called your shop in fact, only to be laughed at by your employee, not impressed.

The selection of candy was amazing and the decor was outstanding! So many gift items available for purchase- food items, bakery, meats and cheeses, toys and SO many jigsaw puzzles. And we can't forget to mention the enormous selection of sodas. However, shoppers BEWARE... at checkout EXTRA tax is added. My total purchase was $45.78 (per price tags on items) and I was charged $28.68 in taxes?!?!?? See photo
Can't find a phone number for the store anywhere to call. Am writing to the store (the old fashion way- LOL) because gas is so expensive and I live 40 miles away to go and question this in person. I have read other reviews stating the same experience.

More than just a candy store. They have the best selection of jigsaw puzzles anywhere. Literally 100's of them. Their pies are baked fresh and they are outstanding, the crust is by far the best I have ever had. As others have said, bring cash or a checkbook, they don't take plastic.

We love our annual trip to the candy store! That said, people should know what to expect.
They don't take credit cards, but there are ATM machines available, not sure why people are whining about not being able to buy stuff because they don't take cards.
It's a big store with A LOT of stuff in it. Plan for a minimum of an hour just to get thru it, longer if it's peak days and hours.
If you have young kids, they are very much welcomed, but it just might be overwhelming for them. There are also great photo ops there for all to enjoy.
Yes, prices are not comparable to Wal-Mart. This isn't Wal-Mart, it's an attraction that is only open 2/3 of a year. To the people complaining, nobody is forcing you to buy anything, and admission is free. The owners add new stuff every year and pay well for their employees. It takes a lot of people to maintain this place.
It is wheelchair friendly, there are no scooters for you to use.
There are small baskets on wheels as well as hand carry baskets.
There is a lot more than just candy.
They have soups, jams, baked goods, a small selection of local meats and cheeses, an extensive soda section, salsa, pasta, bags of chips that come in some pretty far out flavors, sections of imported treats from other countries. I'm sure I'm missing some stuff too!
As for the employees, we've always been treated very well and this place always exudes "minnesota nice".
Have fun, enjoy a truly unique shopping experience and try something new, you just might find something you look forward to each year!
Mine is Melissa's sea salt caramels, they just melt in your mouth!

Yes, they have a huge variety of candies and sweets from around the world. As others have noted, they also carry specialty hot sauces, teas, dried soup mixes, spice mixes, pickled foods, jams, sweet bread mixes, home-made candies and baked goods, specialty sugary sodas (a limited selection are sugar-free), chips, popcorn, crackers and frozen meats.

About 90 Percent of these items have a considerable markup. I did find some of these items cheaper on Amazon and specialty grocery stores. But, if you want one-stop shopping and instant gratification or are in need of these items for party because you weren't able to plan ahead, then this place will save you and you will come out a rock star with goodies spilling from your cart.

My favorite item are the reasonably priced squashes in the fall and their home made salted pecan and peanut nut rolls.

Bring cash because you be charged a surcharge at the ATM!

We have gone out to the candy store for years to bring home their pies. However, this is the first time we noticed the crust is different. Has anyone else found that to be the case? We feel they either are using a different recipe then Jim used for years and taught each of his grandchildren or they are using less quality ingredients that give a subpar product. We were disappointed is an understatement.
Don't get me wrong, the store is wonderful with the wide variety of candy and decor plus the puzzles and soda and canned goodies are amazing. Its just the pie crust isn't the same as it was and well, when a pie is excellent, one shouldn't change the crust recipe because its the crust that makes or breaks a pie every time!

Heaven on Earth for anyone with a sweet tooth. It's an amazing store. Isles and isles of various types of candy and food. When we walked in, I stood there gawking, then immediately grabbed a basket and started loading up. The artwork, large models and mechanical band all add to the magic. We bought $100 of items and as soon as we left, I wanted to go back. A really fun experience!

Located about 45 minutes southwest of the twin cities, this loud, obnoxiously yellow, pop-cultured establishment is sort of a must see. Tons of candy, some imported from Japan and Germany, an immense selection of root beer and flavored sodas, and all sorts of nostalgic candy for any Gen-Xer.
***cash and check only*** but they do have ATMs on site.

Have always loved these pies. However, this past month we bought two frozen Dutch apple pies and received no cooking instructions with them. Didn’t notice this until home. I’ve looked everywhere on their website for instructions or a phone number to call and get some instructions but have been unsuccessful. I can certainly guess the temp and time but don’t want to screw this up and ruin a great pie. Anyone got any instructions on temp and time - we would be grateful.
