Located on the hillside, amongst the rolling hills of Wandering, you will be staying in amazing chalets amongst the organic vineyards of Hotham Ridge Winery. Everything you can think of has been thought of here, personal touches such as shampoo and native scented body wash in the bathroom, through to fresh eggs and bread for our brekkie. Fully self contained with all your kitchen needs are provided for if you want to stay in like we did, or head into town to the tavern for a meal. Head into the cellar door for a wine tasting and pic up a bottle (or more) of the fabulous wines.
Hike through the estate, or chill for awhile in our own private backyard....did I forget to mention that it’s pet friendly (so my dog babies are with us). Tyler and Louis loved meeting Betty the winery dog.
I could not recommend this place enough. Hotham Ridge Estate

This is a two man business but to call the Winery a business is to do the owners a disservice. It is their passion and that comes across to all who visit.

Lovely little set of cottages on a massive property surrounded by vineyards. The grounds were charmingly rustic and the cottages were quite modern and very comfortable. The gardens surrounding the cottages were quite picturesque and we saw one of the most beautiful sun sets while sipping wine on the verandah.
Please note that the restaurant area has closed down, but you can still buy wine and it's absolutely amazing when you bring your own food. However, they did provide some of the best home made sourdough bread we have ever tasted, with eggs, jam and butter, for breakfast.
This is an amazing place when you are looking for a quiet getaway, but don't expect to be having any wild parties. The owners were lovely and accommodating.

We came out of our way to visit this winery and cellar door under the impression that it was an active cellar door and winery with a restaurant. Unfortunately the current owner is actively trying to sell the property and is moving to Europe in January 2019.The restaurant has closed and the cellar door and art gallery are barren and uninviting. The accommodation was well furnished and the breakfast supplies welcome. More publicity is needed to make people aware that this remote property has no food available and if you want an evening meal you need to bring food with you.The nearest shop is 40km away. A rather disappointing end to our trip to Western Australia.

Very scenic with friendly hosts. Well worth the trip out. Good wine for a little known winery and the restaurant does a decent pizza.

My family celebrated our mother's 82nd birthday at Hotham Ridge Winery which is a short 90 minute drive south-east of Perth. The party extended over two days so six of us stayed in the two luxurious cottages and in the winery apartment. The accommodation is completely self-contained, beautifully furnished and very reasonably priced.Breakfasts were provided and after the rest of the family arrived from Perth for the birthday lunch; we walked around the landscaped gardens and in the Wandoo forest, photographed wildflowers, played board games, sketched and slept in the Spring sunshine. Sunset and a chorus of banjo and motorbike frogs signalled dinnertime, which was a delicious paella in the Bistro, cooked by our hosts, Wouter and Leonard, and complemented by Cuban music and sangria. We left laden with bottles of Hotham Ridge Wines and making plans to return soon to this wonderful place.

We decided to pop in for a try, we choose a Sunday, the setting was lovely, very kid friendly, the menu is limited but not a reflection on the lovely food served! They have cellar door wine sales, the wines are delightful! Overall worth a visit enjoy the laid back atmosphere! Staff very attentive and lovely! See you again soon!

We stayed here only a couple of days, but had we known what to expect, would have added at least another night. The cottages are beautifully made and very comfortable and the hosts friendly and welcoming. A good central place to base your travels.
