I had a 10K race that started and ended at this facility o celebrate the apple blossom festival (blossoms however, had peaked by mid-may). The grounds are worth exploring and scenic view of the St. Croix river.

A surprise treasure, will be even more beautiful when we return in the summer. We will definitely add this gem to our places to visit in all seasons.

We have been to CNC numerous times and always find the staff knowledgeable and courteous. The raptor release was fabulous and we enjoyed the apple orchard. The Learning Center is modest, but very informative. It is situated on the beautiful St. Croix River. It is worth the time.

There is something for almost everyone to enjoy and it doesn't need to take half the day. Bring the kids, bring the leashed dog (please remember to not let them pee on living things and pick up after them!) bring the less than enthusiastic walker and they will likely enjoy it too. The paved paths (up to three miles are... More

Fun time at the UofM Raptor Release Sept 27. Such a magnificent natural setting to release the rehabilitated birds. A great educational opportunity with various local nature related groups providing information. Wonderful to be able to see raptures up close.. Also enjoyed a trip to the orchard to pick delicious apples.

On our way from home to somewhere else, we looked on the internet for something fun to do on the way. Going through Hastings, MN, we found this center was on our way. This is a privately owned and run nature center. The Carpenter family used to live there and donated the land. We went into the visitor center and... More

This was my second year running the Apple Blossom race and I just loved it! The trails were clean and it was a perfect Minnesota Park! Loved the buildings and the view was to die for! I would suggest family gatherings, weddings etc.. as its the perfect spot for something like that. Great park for walking as well!

We did an approx 3 mile walk on the trails. The paved trails need some repair but the views of the river were good.
