Hidden waterfall in Hastings MN. Located in a park near in the back along the trailhead. You would not see it just driving by. It is actually a rather large fall and due to busy winter it is flowing fast and steady.
Tucked in behind the main thoroughfare, quite a surprise to find these falls. Access nearer the edges of the river require some care...would be easy to slip. You can continue on various paths and for quite a ways to cross bridges, find old mill locations,...More
Beautiful falls in a surprising location. The surrounding park made for a great morning hike. We would have loved to have had more information on this falls and the building next door. There is clearly history there but nothing within the park to denote it.
we stopped here to do the walking trails along the river. they go along the river. there is a bridge that was on WCCO because people place love locks along the side rail fences. and nice view of the river below.
Amazing to see and hear with the large water volume on the day of visit. After a very short walk from the parking area the viewing platforms and trail give excellent views. Located right off the main highway in Hastings, MN.

I'm not certain you can "get under the falls" anymore. My brother works at the mill and he said some of the trails have been closed due to safety. We stayed at the hotel across the street so we walker under the bridge to get to the park instead of driving to it and we walked a different trail every day. None of them are that long and they will all lead back to the parking lot. Just make sure you go after a good rain so you can see the falls in it's full glory - beautiful. Not much left to the old mill but you can still see remains of it.
