    A beautiful and memorable sight
I very much enjoyed our tour through Niagara Cave. Our tour guide, Sergei, was very knowledgeable, a polished presenter, and always aware of taking care of the group and those with special needs. The cave itself was beautiful, the way canyons out West are beautiful. The ceiling high above us has been sculpted into curves and arches by the water. The various cave formations were new to me and very interesting. The 48 degree temperature was very refreshing on a hot day! The floor is rough and some passages are narrow, but the cave is well lit along the tour. The advertisements warn about 275 steps up and 275 steps down, but I did not find it hard. They are mostly short flights, though there is one long set of perhaps 70-100 down at the beginning and up at the end. The gift shop is fun and has unique items, including fossils from around the world. Google Maps took us on a gravel road to get there but the staff said that's not the only way.

Niagara cave is chilly, but we’ll worth the journey
Amazing limestone cave. Well lit throughout with some slippery spots. Bring a sweatshirt as temp is 48 degrees. Fossils were fun to see. Staff great! Very unique experience.

    Absolutely worth it!
Loved this cave tour! The guide was great and the cave is incredible. Such an unexpected treasure in the middle of farmland. We were stunned. And the place has a great picnic area to sit and eat a packed lunch.

Amazing tour. I had been there 52 years ago but was still amazed and impressed by this. 275 steps to the bottom (not all at once) and 275 back to the entrance. This cave is in the driftless zone. Great tour guide too. Takes a little over an hour and for 20 bucks it is so worth it. Highly recommend.

    Try the Gem Mining too!
I've taken several tours at Niagara Cave and have thoroughly enjoyed them all! I've had guides, Aaron and Parker and both have been excellent. On my most recent visit, I brought my nephews (ages 7 & 9) for Gem Mining. One of the boys did the emerald bag and the other did the fossil bag. They both found such large quantities of what was promised in their bags of dirt! They had a fun time panning through the dirt and washing off their finds! I highly recommend a visit to Niagara Cave for a cave tour and also for gem mining!

    A Must Tour
We visited Niagara Cave 49 years ago this week for our Honeymoon. We visited 35 years ago with our daughters. Yesterday we toured with 2 Grandsons. We were pleasantly surprised with the Gift Shop and facilities! Our tour guide was wonderful. He was informative and kept us together and on task. We will recommend this tour to our friends and family. We would encourage adults to go while they can walk a mile through narrow passages and climb down and up several stair steps. Feeling blessed! 😇

Very beautiful off the beaten path adventure.
A fun family experience. This cave is kept very close to it's natural state. Guides are knowledgable and make the tour enjoyable. There are 550 steps so it is a slightly strenuous tour. Great gift shop, there is also mini-golf and a little mining mill where you can buy a bag of sand and keep the gems found in it.

The 3rd best of the 4 caves we went to this month
Our guide was good and the cave formations were pretty good. Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin was our favorite, followed by Onyx Cave in Kentucky. Mammoth Cave, while extensive, was a dry cave--so no stalactites or stalagmites. In Niagara, the 275 steps down and 275 steps up were good exercise.

    Going down, down, down!
You're going 250 feet below into a cave - the formations are amazing and somewhat surreal. The tour guide was knowledgable and friendly. It's a lot of steps in the beginning (and then on the return again), but they are spread out fairly well making it doable for most people.

Great tour guide, fun adventure and loved the mini golf!
We had a great experience at Niagara Cave with Siri, our awesome tour guide. Loved that there was mini golf available for us to do as a family before the tour and what an impressive gift shop! We loved our experience and it is well worth the trip! (Especially on a hot summer day!)

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:45 am and made our way towards the entrance of the building to check in for our tour. We had to buy our tour tickets ahead of time on their website, and were told to show up 15 minutes prior to the tour start time. The tour started promptly at 10 am, and the tour guide gave us an introduction of the cave, while guiding us down the stairs. She gave us a heads up that there were over 500 stairs throughout the cave, however, the stairs were spaced out, and did not provide much of a challenge for us. The cave was unique and contained many twists and turns throughout and the tour guide did a great job explaining what we were seeing in front of us. There were multiple wet spots throughout the cave, as well as water dripping from the ceiling. There were several unique aspects of this cave, including an underground waterfall and a makeshift chapel. There was a gift shop inside the main building, along with a mini golf course outside and several picnic tables.

Tip: The entire tour lasted roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.

We were visiting Decorah Iowa and were told about this hidden cave in the middle of nowhere only 30 mins away in MN. It was worth the trip. We have a charming tour guide who made it interesting and fun. It was a beautiful fall day for a scenic drive as well. We made reservations online ahead of time to ensure we got the time we wanted. I am claustrophobic and it didn't bother me at all.

We had a fantastic time this weekend! We were lucky to have literally nothing planned for the day and spent a few hours at Niagara Cave. From the gift shop, cave tour, mini golf and mining, our 5 and 8 year old enjoyed the entire experience. Our 8 year old enjoyed it so much, he wants to work at the cave.

I've been to this Cave on two different trips. This is the perfect family trip to take with kids. The tour doesn't feel rushed, the guides are very patient making sure you get plenty of photos and stops along the way to catch your breath if you must. We really didn't need jackets due to humidity of the Cave, it felt like it was in the 60's temp-wise. The kids loved panning for their own gems and the store has lots of nic-nacks to choose from for the adults. The mini-golf and park on site along with picnic tables gives a great location to enjoy a lunch or dinner during your stay. The Cave is gorgeous and well worth the trip to see!!!

Awesome tour that was fast and efficient. Had plenty of time for questions and answers. I appreciated the well behaved children on our tour. Also did the tour at nearby Mystery Cave which did not show us as much as the guide did at Niagara Cave. Neither tour is for small toddlers at nap time. It’s kind of one way and you can’t just leave in the middle. Guide at Niagra was outstanding.
