Great quilting shop

Enjoyed the quilting shop and I am not a crafter, missed the top floor artists quarters, left something for next time.

We stumbled across this beautiful old building simply because it had a quilt shop and in it. It is too bad that other local shops could not have attendance here as it is a great venue.the building is still historical and you almost feel like you are back in school.

Lot of nice shops worked into the old class rooms. If only walls could talk. The workmanship in the architecture is great! Upper level has art studio that welcomes visitors.

The Old Central School is a beautiful historic building in the middle of Grand Rapids that has the potential of being a grand shopping experience but it has not there yet. The best shop was a wool shop on the first floor. The shop. Wanted to go to called Lake Love was only open Thursday thru Saturday. I was there... More

I give this 5 stars only because I truly love this building and the history. It's beautiful. Many years ago they had a great selection of shops and a neat museum. Now it's kinda empty and sad.

We have gone in the building a few times. Judy Garlands museum an all the shops. We enjoyed going to the very top last year, where they had a wood workers exhibit during Tall Timber Days and loved seeing that area.

This is a very interesting stop. There are lots of great shops in the building as well as lots of memorabilia from the old school.

This place had things that you usually couldn't find in a normal mall setting. It was really empty and a little spooky but it had nice shops and it was relatively cheap.

It's a beautiful historic building. The lawn and benches outside are well-kept and a nice spot to sit and have a picnic. Inside, there's not much to do besides a few shops with artsy chochkies. The small museum upstairs was interesting. I wish there was more info about the building itself when it was a school, more pictures, stories, etc.... More
