While camping on the North Shore, I sometimes will take a day trip drive around the area. This time in May, 2021, I happened to drive through Embarrass and decided to stop at the Heritage Park (I did not know there was a campground here). I drove through here a couple of years ago but didn't have time to stop and visit the park. This time, there was some sort of construction going on with heavy equipment tearing up the area next to the highway. I could not use the normal entrance, so drove around to the other side and parked on the street. I really enjoyed visiting here as it relates the Finnish heritage of the area (I am 50% Finn). Many buildings with displays inside, and a line of old farm machinery. The buildings were locked, but I was able to look in through the windows. Maybe next time they will be open, but I have no idea as there is no information available of when the buildings are open.
