Our recent second visit to the Bear Center was just as captivating as the first and we will, without a doubt, return again. After following the on-line daily updates and live cams this past year, we can't say enough about the quality of the Center and the dedication of all who make this possible. This visit, we were fortunate to... More

We learned lots about bears. We had so much fun. 1. When defending themselves bears make themselves look bigger by fluffing up their fur and standing on their hind legs. 2. The main predator that all species of bears have to worry about is humans. Lots more. It was very eucational

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the North American Bear Center! Be sure to take the behind the scenes tour where you can get up close to see the bears in their natural habitat. The exhibits are very educational and provide much information about the habits of bears. The movie was well worth seeing about Lynn Rogers and his... More

We finally made it to the Bear Center after living about an hour and a half away! We were beyond thrilled with the learning experience here. There is so much information about bears; everything from the different types of bears, to myths about bears and so on. There is so much to learn. They also offer documentaries in their theater.... Very interesting and educational for families. Watch real bears and learn everything you didn't know about them. Volunteers were interesting to talk to about the area bears who stop by their cabins and knock on their doors for food! I was interested in the movie about Lynn Rogers' experience with interacting with bears.

Wonderful museum and educational center. Seeing the Bears in their natural habitat and going on the short behind the scenes tour was a highlight! DO NOT MISS this wonderful educational opportunity. The staff, Judy in particular, were very friendly and willing to answer questions and spend time with visitors. Wish I lived closer so I could be a regular visitor!

Wonderful experience for our family of 4, kids 11 and 13. They have wonderful and informative displays and some snakes and turtles indoors, and of course the viewing windows and balcony that allow you to see the bears. Make sure to catch the talk and "behind the scenes" tour (included). The bears come up to the fence and you get... More

This is place entire family can enjoy. Well set up exhibits that you can go through at your own pace and read as much (or as little) as you would like. Several short videos sprinkled throughout that are interesting and informative for all. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable--willing to answer any questions and they recommended an excellent place... More
