The North American Bear Center is the only educational facility of its kind - it helps people learn from the bears themselves about bear behavior, ecology, and their relations with humans. There is a huge need for accurate information about bears worldwide and the mission of the non-profit North American Bear Center is to advance the long-term survival of bears worldwide by replacing misconceptions with scientific facts about bears

Up close and personal experience with American Black bears. It is the perfect stop for families with children, but as an older adult, I enjoyed it immensely. Definitely stay for the walk outdoors to the bear enclosures and watch staff feed the bears peanuts by...More

Very well done - exhibits had great information and bear exhibits very well done. The exhibits allowed us to see some bears but also allowed them their natural habitat.

What a treasure this center is for bear lovers! We were overwhelmed with the care, quality, educational and interactive opportunities here. There are 4 ‘Ambassadors’; bears that live on the property in a carefully created bear environment, that you will become endeared with. The staff...More

Enjoyed the tour given by the intern from the UK and the exhibits were interesting. Worth a visit once at least.

I wouldn't have visited this place except that my husband and other travel partners wanted to attend and all of them had an amazing time. The facility presents a wide overview of North American bears, however, only black bears are on view. As a life-long...More

The bear center was great! The workers were fun and knowledgable. The behind the scenes tour was incredible and we got to see the bears close up. Also, they feed the bears at certain times and that was fun to watch. All the bears have...More

This is your opportunity. A science/nature center. The first of its kind in the world. Four resident bears in a natural forest. Great tour guide for close up viewing of individual bears being fed peanuts out of the volunteer’s hand and spitting out the shells....More

I would give more time than an hour, I would try 2-3 hours. There are many things to experience at NABC and watching the bears interact with each other and the staff is fun stuff.
