We had a wonderful experience with White Wilderness and would (already have) recommend the full day shared trip to anyone. We were out approx 6.5 hours and went approx 28 miles. It was great to be able to switch out driving and riding. The other people in our group and our guides (Kasha and Jamiah) were fantastic and we enjoyed... More

We were at White Wilderness Dec 2016. We have done dog sledding in Jackson Hole WY Norway Quebec . This was by far the best dog sledding trip. they allowed more interaction with the dogs......setting up harnesses / hooking up the team / etc . We had never been allowed to do that at the other trips. Also guides were... More

The day we left it was -30 in Ely, MN. While that sounds frigid, we never were cold. The staff at White Wilderness Dog Sledding know exactly what clients need to wear to stay warm and enjoy an outdoor adventure! Fortunately, the temps rose as our mushing got underway. We had lunch on lakes by campfires, returned to the yurt... More

It can be hard to get to Isabella after a large snowfall. We were able to get to the site without four wheel drive. I recommend having a high clearance vehicle if there is a large snowfall as the road in can get a little questionable. The experience was really fun. We did the 1/2 day which ends up being... More

Thanks DontwaitMn. We often have weekday day trip specials in January and always offer deep discounts from March 15th til the end of the season. Isabella is a little snowbelt, often holding snow much longer than other places. March is a nice time to travel by dog team - blue skies and sunny lunches on the lakes can't be beat. More

I honestly couldn't think of anything negative to say about my trip. Before my trip, the owner promptly answered all of my questions. When we arrived at the kennel, we were welcomed and allowed to pet the dogs, even though they were busy harnessing them. All of the dogs were super well behaved (I was really surprised considering how many... More

My daughter and I went on the Whispering Pines trip. It's hard to put the experience into words. Fairy tales, novels and Christmas carols made sense... dashing through the snow, on a four-dog open sleigh, over the hills we go, laughing all the way ... The white queen in Narnia ... Santa flying through the night in a sleigh full... More

My wife and I went on an overnight trip at the end of January 2016, and had a FANTASTIC time. Our guide Theo was great - very helpful, knowledgeable, fun to chat with, and was great with the dogs. It was fun to harness the dogs, get them all hooked up to the sled, then let them do their thing,... More

They have great guides with a lot of experience. Did the overnight in the Yurt, the food was fabulous, and the so were the accomodations. The sledding is a ton of fun and would recommend to anyone looking to experience some of the Real Minnesota!

Just back from a half day trip with friends. Our guides (Joe and Ellen) were amazing and it was an experience I will long remember. The trip started with a nice dog sledding 101 (don't let go of the sled, use the brake, Gee, Haw, etc) and we were off! Our team of 5 dogs yapped and pulled and we... More
