I grew up just a few blocks from this place. I’ve only come here occasionally because life has gotten in the way, but we came tonight on the nicest night so far this summer in Minnesota. A casual 1.4 mile walk meanders through large well manicured buildings and restaurants. Incidentally, it’s free and if you are traveling eat at the Qcumber Restaurant (it’s a buffet) and take a walk if you need a car time out with the kids. There is a putt-putt golf course all around the walk with real grass and greens. A great place for families and couples.

Came here with a friend of mine to go paddle boating a few weeks ago and wow, was I ever mesmerized by how beautiful this park was during my stay here. The park is very clean, calm and quiet, a sharp contrast from what it's like over by the Southdale Center, or even I-494. There are so many fun activities to do here, from simply walking along the water to doing mini-golfing to paddle boating. I HIGHLY recommend the paddle boating. In fact, I think that's the best part about this park - you feel as if you're in Europe as you're strolling down the water for a period of 45 minutes. I didn't want my time on the boat to end! I loved how there were even swing benches too. Such an underrated gem in the Twin Cities this park is. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

A lovely man-made park with beautiful landscaping and maintenance. It is easy to stroll or jog around the two ponds and it makes a perfect venue for art fairs in the summer. My friend and I frequently play mini-golf there when it is available. You can also rent paddle boats and drive around on the ponds.

This was only 15 minutes away from my home in Eagan and I would have never found it if I didn't google places to rent paddle boats. I was amazed by this places beauty. I am a photographer and just fell in love with this location for photos... check out my site at http://olsonphotography.shutterfly.com/

We have been here in all seasons, but finally got out and skated on the ice as we all as walking the path that surrounds the lake. Great area with Pinstripes and many restaurants nearby.

Centennial Lakes Park provides opportunities for people of all ages. This serene setting is surrounded by office buildings and housing. However, this architectural beauty changes with the seasons and is definitely s unique. The mile plus walking path is smooth and easy for jogging and walking. The path is surrounded by meticulously manicured trees, shrubs, flowers and sculptured gardens coupled with scattered benches for relaxation and reflection. The man-made lakes designed along the walking paths provide opportunities for pedal boating as well as fishing for youngsters. The mini-golf coarse and boche courts appeal all people of all ages. During the summer months, the band shell is scheduled with many activities including but not limited to evening concerts, youth gatherings and weddings. This park is a gem. Bring your camera!

To me, the highlight of a trip to Centennial Lakes is the mini golf course. Yes, it's a nice little park with a small lake/pond upon which you can rent a small boat, but you can enjoy a view of the water while you golf! Well, not true golf, but the best mini golf course around. Why? Because it's played on real grass. What you have is 18 miniature golf holes, with fairways, rough, sand traps and a little water. But these holes are anywhere between 60 and 100 feet long with lots of slopping terrain. So it's like real golf except it's played with a putter (none of those annoying windmills or animals to shoot through). It is a lot of fun even for someone who has never played golf before. The place was packed when we were there on Sunday and everyone looked to be having a great time.

We have always enjoyed this park. The landscaping is wonderful, and the lakes are beautiful. There are many people visiting at dusk because it's perfect for walking and sitting to gaze at the lovely scenery.

Great place for family of all ages to come and walk. Occasional entertainment at the shelter area. Mini golf never disappoints, don't forget the paddle boats and other near by activities. Doesn't matter the age plenty of activities.

How long a walk is it to go around the whole lake?

The walk is 1.4 miles. A really nice walk with meandering paths, pretty bridges over parts of the lake. Ducks, an egret or two.
Can you bring a unicycle there?

I don't see why not. That would be cool to see.
