The Caponi Art Park is located at a short driving distance from the Mall of America. It has collections of several abstract statues situated throughout the park. My only complaint is that there is not much information one can find anywhere in the park about the significance of the statues. During early fall, one will get to enjoy the fall colors in this park. It is a park that is free to the public, but donations are welcome. It is certainly worth visiting when in Minneapolis.

Great place. The entrance is kind of hidden, but once in it is a fun place to hike around. The sculpture garden is on the north side of the road. Would like to go back for some of the events. The theater looks like it would be cool to go to.

If you're expecting something on par with the Walker Sculpture Garden, you'll be disappointed. But if you're looking for a nice walk in a wooded area with bonus sculptures, this is your place. Note that you have to walk from the parking lot through a tunnel under Diffley Road to get to most of the artwork, and, in addition to the art that's right outside the tunnel entrance, there's another cluster of sculptures if you continue down the main trail and up into the trees. There are also performances during the summer at the amphitheater on the parking lot side of the park. Alas, the park is closed during the winter, but it's a nice little gem, and tends to be less crowded than Lebanon Hills if you're looking for a brief hike in the woods.

There is a great trail system here and beautiful woods to hike through. There is no art or just some stones on the parking lot side of the art grounds. You actually have to go under the road to get to the sculpture park. There are nude sculptures so it's pretty rude and awkward. Otherwise beautiful place.

Caponi Art Park is a nice place to walk around and see art! It's like an outdoor art museum. I don't believe it's open in winter, but you can check.
