Not buggy! With my dog

Old Hartley Road Trail to the Superior Hiking Trail cutoff. New boardwalk across the creek makes it easy and fun. My dog and had the trails to ourselves on the 4th of July #heaven

Pine plantation is beautiful, 360 view from Rocky Knob an easy climb. Trails were super icy / muddy today, not the best season to go. Trails are well marked but some are quite twisty and include lots of mountain bikers and skiiers.

Visited this place because of its biking trails, great web of hiking/biking trails, nice creek, and a short climb to a peak.

Dogs are allowed here "on leash" however the majority of people have their dogs off leash. Many come here with family, to bike, and run so be aware on skinny trails that you may encounter a fast moving naturist. The building is a nice place to visit with children to learn more about the animals. Variety of scenery and fun... More

A little zig zag to get there through construction from the southeast with a bridge out. This place was full of families taking photos, couples, bird watchers, dogs, kids and mountain bike riders. Bike trails were well marked trails, intermediate difficulty with some rocks and curves, average single track, bridges, some hills, easier than Lester Park, definitely. Lots of pretty... More

We were looking for some outdoor activities in Duluth and found this! It was great, we only wish had planned more time for it. If you are vacationing in Duluth, and like to get out and hike a bit, this is a great place to go. Rock knob is a beautiful lookout, and the pine forest is mesmerizing. Must do!

Visited Hartley on a tip from someone who attends UM Duluth. Went looking for some fall colors.....took the trail to Rock Knob, and boy were we blown away by the amazing fall vista. Spent a half hour up there admiring the view. Nice!

Beautiful hike through spectacular leaves. We walked to Rock Knob for a breathtaking view of the city and lake. The trails were well maintained.

Great for a walk or biking. Gorgeous year round and a real back to nature experience. Best on a nice day either in the spring or fall as the leaves turn. Northern MN is the only place to see the leaves turn in autumn.
