When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by all the pups and the staff! We have been on other dogsledding adventures and this was superb. If you like a hands on experience, this is the one for you. The dogs are friendly and the philosophy of this business ranks high on my list of good ethics. Positive Energy Outdoors treats their dogs well and with kindness.

Great experience. 10/10 would recommend. We kayaked at split rock with Blake as our guide. He was really patient and relaxed with us first timers but also took us up on to the shore in some fun spots and got us adventuring.
To book stuff you just gotta email or call and they’ll get back to ya.
Also should mention that we felt really safe. Blake’s a very knowledgeable guide.
It might seem expensive but 100% worth it. Would recommend and will do more tours with Blake and positive energy outdoors again

What an amazing start for 2023 !
Booked this winter tour for my husband and me.
Our dog sledding tour was magical.
We really appreciate the opportunity to learn about the lands where we went through ; bog, wetland, lake and forest… everything was so beautiful.
The guys were very professional.
Dogs are so cute, we helped to prepare them, it was awesome.
We highly recommend !

We showed up 15 minutes early because we weren’t sure where we were going and needed to rent boots. Owner was clearly upset we were early. No clearly marked place to park. When we were walking to meet our group we weren’t clear of where to stand. Owner thought we were on the trail and got upset. We realize safety comes first but clearly marking areas would avoid confusion. We loved working with Charles he was super friendly and informative. The owner made us feel unwelcome and like we were a bother.

I had a fantastic dog sledding adventure! I was a solo rider and thoroughly enjoyed it. HIGHLY recommend this company. The staff, dogs, and scenery were simply amazing. Blake was so kind and knowledgeable - really appreciated riding in the sled with him. You will not regret this experience!

Spent two months planning a kayak trip with this outfitter. One week prior to our trip the owner e-mailed me and said that they were no longer available. Then no other correspondence. They left us with no possibilities of finding another operator due to the short notice. My kayaking partner and I had both spent substantial time and money in preparing for this trip. We were sorely let down and it was a ruined vacation. I would not recommend this operator.

As a small organization, we offer day trips, and the occasional overnight experience for dog sledding/winter camping. Unfortunately, this custom trip had to be cancelled two weeks prior to the trip due to an unforeseen staff emergency, which would have prevented the care of our 4 year old, kennel of 55 sled dogs and 4 draft horses, which was explained to our customer and his friend at the time. We would have enjoyed sharing our years of kayak trip leading experience, but a qualified staff person was not available, and the care of our child and animals was the priority. At the time of cancellation, the customer had not yet paid a deposit for the trip and had no financial loss.

We just finished our group dog sledding trip with our 4 kids ages 5-14 and it was amazing. Blake did a great job of explaining safety rules and telling us a lot of interesting facts and details about the dogs and racing. You can tell they value the safety and well being of their dogs and the kennel area was well kept and clean. My children got to "help" and they all enjoyed the sledding on their half mile training loop. They do a nice job of explaining what you need for the weather. It was probably 25 degrees and no wind and you do need the snowpants, boots, winter gear as they recommend. It was about a 2 hour process from start to finish, learning about the dogs, harnessing them to the sled, and all taking turns with 2-3 on the sled at a time with a guide. Thank you for sharing your beautiful dogs with us! Both my husband and I felt this was a great experience and well worth it!

We had a party of 9 people and went dogsledding! Blake and Steph were very knowledgeable and were so good with the kids! We enjoyed learning about the dogs history and helping get them ready to go out. We also enjoyed the horse drawn wagon ride (as there wasn't enough snow for the sleigh). What a fun experience!

We did a group sled with another family, 4 kids 5 and under. We had a blast! The staff did a great job of explaining what they do and inviting the kids to help. There was plenty of time for multiple rides. Definitely recommend this!

A couple of questions...do you have enough snow to dogsled the week after Christmas? Do you have openings? Do you do trips during the week?
Written December 16, 2017
We have more snow in the forecast this week, so there should be plenty for dog sledding the week after Christmas.
Right now, there is availability during the week (26th and 27th are the most open). You can go to our website to see the updated calendar and book online or get in touch via e-mail or call 218-391-0147 if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Steph
