We were first time Segway riders and we are senior citizens. Our guide Shawn was absolutely fantastic. He guided us through basic training and safety in a most casual yet direct way which resulted in our high comfort zone necessary to go riding. Once riding Shawn was attentive to each of the six riders in our group while at the same time providing the on-going tour guide narrative of Duluth's waterfront sights. Because of numerous road construction activities our ride was not routine. Yet, Shawn handled the bumps in the road with aplomb that then gave us as newbies the confidence to follow. This "Glider" ride was without doubt a highlight of our early summer and beyond. We will likely go again, so much fun.

Fun way to get an overview of the area and help decide what places we wanted to make sure to go back and see. We took the 2 hour Lakeside tour. The town is really set up perfectly for Segways. They have so many trail/paths, you don't have to worry too much about traffic. I think we had to cross about 4 busy roads. The roads we had to cross were basically getting from Duluth Glides office to the paths. Then we road paths until we started heading back. Our guide , John, was great making sure we crossed the roads carefully.
This was our first time on segways. We had a 15-20 minute learning session and it was pretty easy to catch on. John did make sure that we were able to handle the segway, before he took us on the route. He also had our segways in "turtle" mode for the first 15 minutes of our tour until he was sure we were ready to go a little faster.
The tour itself took us past many of the city highlights and John was giving great information throughout the trip over a headset.
They were very accommodating and just nice people that took safety seriously and made sure you had a good time.

We took the 2hr Lakeside tour on a Wednesday evening with tour guide Sean. It was our first time on a Segway and we underestimated how much fun we would have (ages 14 to 52)! Loved the different paths we took through the parks and along side the lake. We became skilled riders in a short period. We highly recommend this tour and Sean who made learning about Duluth and Lake Superior really fun!

We had the last minute request the night before and the organizer called us right away and added us in, which we appreciate very much. We all loved the experience. Riding the segaway was not hard at all and very safe. The tour guide was excellent. Not only a great teacher, but also very nice and knowledgeable. He was introducing Duluth's history during the entire 2 hour trip.
The only problem we had was that the headphone's sound effect was very poor. The noise made it very difficult to understand what he was saying, even for my kids who were born in the States. I could only understand him when I was close enough to hear his talk directly. But that was not possible most of the time since we had to keep safe distance from each other when riding. So I missed quite some information that the guide was able to provide. That was the only regret that I had. But overall we had loads of fun and really enjoyed the tour. Definitely the highlight of our Duluth trip.

Sean was our guide and he was tremendous. This was the sixth city that my wife and I have begun to explore via a Segway tour. This time BIL and SIL were with us and it was their first Segway experience. The training provide by Sean was the best we have seen. Then the fun began with a two plus hour tour of the Lake Superior shore, including the war memorials, rose garden, light houses and the canal area. We totally enjoyed our tine on the tour and Sean’s insight, It was a 5 - star experience.

PS - I messed up the booking and we were there a week earlier than expected. Sean came thru in the clutch to make a memorable experience.

We had an awesome time! Sean, our guide, patiently taught us the basics and then took us on a guided tour of the Lakewalk area. He was a perfect leader...kind, funny, and personable. The tour was fun and although I was very nervous I was able to ride with confidence by the middle.

Sean was a great tour guide and excellent teacher! We were able to explore the city in a completely unique way and learn tons about the wonderful city and history of Duluth. We even got a few recommendations for bars and restaurants that we passed along the way. If you're considering this mode of transportation
to tour the city, do it early in your stay. You'll have a deeper appreciation for the city and you can learn to navigate your way around town the coolest way possible!

This is a MUST DO when in Duluth! We covered a large area- going up hill and down hill often. Sean (our guide) made it all easy to do with his instructions in our earphones that we all wore. He gave us good information about the area as well, thru the earphones. We were beginner riders and by the end of the tour, we were very comfortable operating the machines and wanted to go longer! Thanks Duluth Glides for a very fun day! And his tip for where to eat lunch was great also! We very much enjoyed the food at Sir Benedicts!

I was very impressed with the video which concentrated on the basics of riding and also focused on safety. And then the personal one-on-one introduction to the Segway itself and the various "how to" features were a great way to become familiar with the Segway and how easy it is to adapt to riding. And then away we went on the tour of Silveridge RV park and the history of the park and the Mesa area.
I would highly recommend these folks as the experience was very relaxing and enjoyable!

The historic homes tour was a fabulous tour along the lakeshore and in to the hills of East Duluth. We learned some fun and fabulous stories of early Duluth residents and learned about the gorgeous homes in the area. A great time was had by all - even the teenagers.
