Scenic Beach

Park Point is a nice place to spend time on a quiet beach, with great views of Lake Superior. Watch the big ships, or just toss stones in the lake. It's a fun place to visit.

We loved this out-of-way beach. It was hot the day we visited yet this beach area was not crowded. Water was a bit chilly (I hear it usually is) but still fun to play in. The kids could wade out quite a bit before it got too deep. Lots of beach area to play in or explore. Parking was close... More

Great View of Duluth From a Different Vantage Point. It gives you an entirely different perspective of the city. It's also fun to actually be on a "beach" with waves that feel like the ocean.

We took a drive from Minneapolis and enjoyed our time on the beach here with our dog. Water was too cold for us but our pooch liked it!!

Just over the Duluth Lift Bridge, Park Point offers a lovely sand beach (which is hard to find on the north shore). My kids really enjoy playing in the sand and swimming in the lake here. However, parking is VERY limited, and there are no facilities for restrooms or changing. Pack well, and bring a towel to wipe off all... More

Park Point is a great place. Beautiful lake views, trails and swimming beach. It is only accessible by crossing the historic lift bridge.

This sliver of land was so fun to travel down. It was longer than you would think and is fully developed with homes mostly, but some businesses. There is a park close to the end with kiddy play stuff, a boat launch, picnic tables and large grassy areas. Then you are at the sandy beaches!! Just walk up one of... More

We had not known about this secluded walk until a friend told us. We parked at the airport and then walked another 2 miles through very tall pines and also grassy sand dunes. It was spectacular!

Great place to view the breathtaking water. Kids can play in the sand and you can just sit and relax!

We went to the sand beach here. It was quite crowded the day we were here. We preferred the rock shores north of Duluth collecting and skipping rocks.
