This little museum run by the Army Corp of Engineers is awesome. First, it is free and has pretty lengthy hours, so you can stop by here numerous times. With a location right next to the lift bridge and the walkways to the canal lighthouses,...More

Didn't plan to go here, just wandered in. Lots of great information, self-paced was great for the family and even our 3 year old grandson loved seeing the model ships and watching the ships from the second floor.

A free attraction that features a little bit of everything relative to maritime life for passengers and crews of the past. Very interesting feature about lighthouses and the development of lenses over the centuries. Check out the examples of passenger and crew quarters for sea...More

The best part is that this museum is FREE. Be sure to spend time reading and learning from each exhibit. Great stories about shipwrecks! While you're there, you may even get to see a large ship come through the harbor.

I do not know. But, I do know that both Duluth, and the Museum are great to visit any time of year, whether any ships are coming in, or not. I was very surprised at how much I liked this city, and I was equally pleased... More
