I love trains and so I really appreciate this museum. Take some time and read the text at each exhibit and you come to understand how important the railroads were in developing the nation. We have visited the LSRM twice and I look forward to a third visit.

I had been here a few times as a kid for school outings, but returned with my husband, looking for something fun to do while visiting town in the cold Duluth winter. the trains are so huge and all are different. Loved the close up experiences with all of the different types. The hands-on experiences plus the real life station makes it fun for all.

My kids ages 2, 4, and 6 loved this museum. We were here for over two hours and all of them were engaged the whole time. They loved boarding the trains and sitting in the engineers seat. Fun! We boarded the train at fitgers and rode the short rude to the railroad museum. Along the way we were treated to a narrative tour of the beautiful city of duluth all the while setting the stage for the program ahead. My fiancé and I loved this Museum! Lots of really cool trains and exhibits to look at. There was a gentleman who was in the Lincoln memorial train and he was fantastic!

To avoid parking and experience a train ride we took the train to Bentleyville lights. The kids loved it. Train staff, who were most likely volunteers were polite, patient and professional. Ordering tickets online ahead is highly recommended as they fill up fast. Lots of quaint shops in the building where the station is lcoated. Very fun!

We love to ride trains when we're on excursions but viewing this museum was a walking experience. The place is loaded with railroad cars and equipment. It was fun to be able to walk through some of the cars and see the original china used; or to walk through the Lincoln hearse car. It is an overwhelming museum.

This Railroad museum is by far the biggest I have ever been to lots of different types of trains to climb in look take pics look inside locomotives a lot of vintage steam engines different variety of activities all year round
