This is a great rainy day tour. I have visited over 10 times in my life and still enjoy the tour. You can climb on some older trains. There are times they have a train trip up the shore. I have only done that once, but it was a great trip.

We were not even sure if we wanted to stop here. None of my family is into trains, but after a few friends recommended it, we made time for it. We were all glad we did! This was the best stop of the weekend. Even if you are not into trains, the history and the engineering of everything was mind... More

Little pricey but we loved climbing around the trains. Lots to look at if your a train lover. Some of the remote train exhibits didn't work and I was hoping to see that but oh well didn't spoil my visit. History there is great

This museum has a fine collection of rail stock. Wonderful restorations and a nice selection. A great window into the history of the Duluth area. You don't want to skip this. There are many other area tours and activities that give you far less bang for the buck. Like the harbor tours!

The main reason for our trip to the Railroad Museum was to see the replica of Lincoln's funeral car, but the museum offers so much more. There is so much more to see than just trains. You can learn about the immigrants who arrived not only in America, but to Duluth.

Enjoyed the museum with three generations of family. A little something for everyone. Very cool to be able to walk around the cars and engines. Train tables for the little ones to keep them entertained. Was able to spend about two hours there before it was time to go. Could have spent more!

I used to like it better when the children's museum was also down here so you could get to visit both of them for one price. The trains are really cool, well worth the visit. Also you can visit the Art museum area and also exhibits on the vietnam war , forest service/CCC and other areas of the depot (great... More

This museum is housed indoors, had a lot of train cars to walk through. They had a replica of President Lincoln's funeral car, which was very interesting. If you go on the train, you can get into the museum, for $6. Well worth it!

If you (or your kids) like trains, this is the place to go. The museum has a good collection of steam locomotives from various eras, as well as some beautifully restored passenger carriages. The North Shore Scenic Railroad offers excursions of varying lengths, including Thomas the Tank Engine themed trips on certain summer weekends. The rolling stock is mostly old... More

Very interesting history of the railroad, locomotives and the chance to see the Abraham Lincoln funeral car was great.
