Most of the reviews are during the time of previous ownership. The new owners are engaging, friendly, and accommodating. They do a wonderful job keeping up the spacious grounds, which are especially lovely in the summer and fall. The wine offerings are very nice and we usually get the charcuterie board as well. We had pizza in February and it was amazing! The owner was adamant about getting it "just right." We always love coming here. In the summer and fall the views are breathtaking, and there are fire pits as well. In chilly weather, the indoor seating area is cozy and a great place to hang out.

Great wines! Tammy A. was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and she made the day very special. We bought 6 bottles and can't wait to enjoy them! Lovely grounds!

We had a great time, the wine was excellent very nice variety of dry and semi sweet wines. They by far have the best Minnesota red wine of all the wineries we have been to. The service we had was fantastic the owners were great and very engaging.

Rudeness is the word of the day and you pay big bucks to be treated poorly. The setting is nice the wine is good, the owner is rude beyond belief, even closing 20 minutes early after having our party wait in the dirty kitchen for a spot to sit in what we thought was a previously reserved space to hold a small group gathering. I think they broke every health regulation, packing the place with way too many people, and a dog loaded with ticks. Actually the dog was the best part of the staff,. He was nice, but should really be vetted before letting him in the tasting room. If you are just one or two folks and want to pay lots for a glass of wine go ahead, but for anything else stay away...far away.... Go to Applebees, or any pizza joint and they will treat you better...way better. In addition one staff member had to be stopped from taking a bag of gifts to the back room, for what reason? I stopped her, but I still wonder what her motivation was, Stay far far away!

I believe your review is completely out of context and you are very miss leading. You failed to mention that your friend asked to use our location for a get together (at no cost) and the weather turned bad. We tried to accommodate your party in our back room as it was pouring rain. We had a bachelorette party using our tasting room at the time. Yes we have a dog on the property and he is loved by the vast majority of our customers. That day he was wet but no ticks. Your friend did reach out to us and apologized for your behavior and thanked us for doing all we could. I’m sorry you’re disappointed but slandering our establishment is not acceptable. I thought all of the wines were good and I enjoyed tasting the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The tasting room is cute and the outdoor seating spaces and gardens are well kept and pretty. It started pouring while we were there, but we remained dry under the pergola. I liked that they had olives and cheeses available for snacking.

Napa doesn't have to worry about Minnesota wines taking over but it is a nice spot to try some wines (generally sweet with not much depth) but the balsamic and olive oil tasting is very nice. We did it on a busy Sunday afternoon and while we had to wait a little bit to taste and felt crowded, it still was a nice diversion. The tasting room is pretty and this Sunday they had live music which was very nice with their nice outside sitting and eating area.

We had a Living-social coupon which was a very good deal.

Check out their events, if they have some live music that you may like, head on out and try it. Keep your expectations alined with this is Minnesota not Napa.

The tasting room at Woodland Hill Winery is a great space with planet you room for a healthy sized crowd and if you choose to linger beyond a tasting, the expansive and manicured grounds – including a gazebo and a patio – are the perfect way to spend a couple hours enjoying the wine in the great outdoors.

Katie is wonderful and so is the staff. They always seem so happy to see us. The wine is good as well as the olive oil. Wonderful experience every time.

I've been here on several occasions and never had anything but a wonderful experience. I have never experienced rude employees, and the pup on site is adorable and friendly. I've been to the big player wine regions like Napa and Willamette Valley, and this is one of the only vineyards in Minnesota that offers a beautiful landscape to enjoy while sipping.
