Definitely worth a visit! Beautiful landscapes of Minnesota native and non native plants. Most areas accessible and paved. There are hills. Iris plants were just in full bloom week of June 8. Just missed the tulips by a few weeks. They do offer a tram...More

We were very glad that they had a driving tour that allowed us to glimpse the gardens, stopping and parking to see the ones we were most interested in. This is a very extensive collection of many different plant varieties and used by the University...More

Always beautiful park that I’ve been to for more than a couple times now. Each time I go, I feel there’s always something new. The park is so big you never can really do it all in 1 day. Admission is $15/person ages 16 and...More

Loved all the different types of gardens. Even going before most stuff was blooming it was beautiful. The air smelt so fresh! Only complaint was the maps were not as good as they could be.

Good thing we had realistic expectations for the Arboretum on Memorial Day weekend, because it was crazy busy! All we wanted was to see the crabapples blooming before the heavy rain forecast for Monday (and it did rain hard). We got to see crabapples, azaleas,...More

It has been a very long time since I made the trip to the Arboretum but that will certainly change. I was awestruck at all the new additions and the beauty of the grounds. I have not visited since they built the new building. I...More

Been there a dozen times and never disappointed except with slower spring flowers--at the fault of weather only! They have occasional free evenigs (used to be third thursdays), but we have a season pass tho we live an hour away. We have used groupon in...More

The tulips were at their peak-think the guide said 38,000 tulips! Take the trolley on the 3 Mile Drive and then return to sites that interest you. Don’t miss the bee center at the Red Barn-or the gift shop. The restaurant is ok for a...More

I love going here! Just went this week and enjoyed the tulips. Exciting to see the spring coming to Minnesota, and no place is it more obvious than the Arboretum.

No reservations needed. I would check out their website for more details. It's a wonderful place to go for a good hike and to see nature at it's best. So if you have the opportunity, don't miss it. It's a great experience.

There are miles of trails and most are lit up from what I remember. One can also drive through. Due to the super cold temps, driving might be better. Happy Holidays!
