Best to go in the morning, that is because you can see quite a few animals and possible birds. The rest of the days is perfect too. It is good for all family and a variety of activities, from walking to biking.

The trail starts on the Hennepin side of the Coon Rapids Dam. It is smooth and usually very clean. The path is wide and able to handle bikers, walkers, parents with strollers, dogs etc... There aren't any water stops on the trail so make sure...More

This is a nice paved trail through woods and neighborhoods. Moves from the Coon Rapids dam on the east and Elm Creek regional park to the west. Early morning bike rides will often have wildlife crossing the trail from deer, occational fox or wild turkeys....More
