The garden is a peaceful and beautiful place in a compact space. Not far off the busy byways of the Twin Cities. It is not obvious to find your way there from the main parking lot. Go to the far end of the lot from France Avenue to Collegeview Road. On the other side of the parking garage is Parking... More

this was my first experience. it was very cool. the only down part of this site is that they let stupid people in. some little kids, with parents that needed a timeout, ruined the tranquility of the site. still, it is beautiful and peaceful (when you are away from certian groups).

My wife had decided to look up this Japanese Garden located within a college. It was quite small but had a few nice pieces to see! The garden is a self tour so you walk on your own. If your looking for a fast tour this would be it! The weather was nice. Anyhow, go see it for your self... More

The Japanese Gardens are on the northern side of Normandale Community College and are open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset. There is no fee to visit here either. This was our first trip to the gardens and the weather wasn't the most cooperative. Despite being rained on at times...we still enjoyed our stroll. It is a fairly... More

This is such a fun place to go to take pictures, hang out with friends. The bridges are nice to walk on and the scenery is fascinating. You can see the fish swimming in the water and it's a favorite place for local ducks to hang out.

We went the end of March on an overcast day. Even with a lot of the trees/plants not in bloom it was pretty. Just and the ducks. Definitely would like to see it in the summer months.

This is a tiny park built on the Normandale Community College campus. I went during the winter and it was covered in snow, the lake had iced over and the falls were not running but it was still work the few minute drive from my hotel. There are places to sit and relax while enjoying the peaceful area. This is... More
