Was very excited to see the Hawaii movie. It cost $36, after tax with webpage discount. It took all of 8 minutes. Good thing it’s dark because the amount of dust is inane above lights prior to entry. Also note there will be no telling of where you are flying over specifically- no narration. Great idea and great ride but not worth cost for what you receive in my opinion.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are disappointed to hear that your experience did not live up to your expectations.
The ride itself is just under 10-minutes. We understand wishing it were longer, however we are a motion-based experience and are limited on how long we can have guests out there and feeling comfortable.
The crew has tried to assimilate the sensation of flight as closely as possible which is why there are not location indicators found during the actual ride as it does take away from that sensation/experience. There is both a Hawaii and America scene list found on the wall upon exit of the ride that highlights each location you flew over.
Thanks again for taking time to tell us about your experience.

Fly over Hawaii- Sooo NOT worth it!
This was a huge disappointment. The ride lasted all of eight minutes. Not kidding. I’ve been to many and love them, and in particular the Christmas ones. The fly over Canada was also wonderful. I expected somewhat the same. The flyover Hawaii really didn’t showcase the islands and the people the way it could have and how could it when it was only eight minutes long! So incredibly disappointed and was not worth the money.
It cost us $23.to park in the lot below the ride and paying for that and parking took longer than the actual ride itself… Never mind the line to get in.
Save your money!!

It’s an awesome experience to do. 20.00 was a ok price yet having to ride this with other people (high schooler’s) that won’t be quiet through out the ENTIRE ride is really not so cool to enjoy. I did 2 different rides and I definitely loved my first one in which took us over then Grand Canyon and the Golden Gate Bridge. Will do it again!

For the price, fly over Hawaii was way too short..less than 10 min and I know Hawaii pretty well. It would have been nice to either have verbiage on the screen or talking to tell you what you were flying over..which island

Nothing on the website said that there will be 2 charges on my credit card. One for the real bill and the second as a holding charge apparently. There should be a statement about the second charge that took them a while to figure out what the second charge is.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. When certain purchases are made, a "pre-authorization" charge will be placed on an account prior to finalizing the purchase. Once the purchase is finalized, the holding charge drops off.
We apologize if there was any miscommunication and hope you will take flight with us again in the future.

Purchased as part of a combo ticket. Didn't wait in line that long before being seated. The ride can't be more than 15 minutes. The staff is very nice and helpful. Very very similar to Disney's Soarin' in Epcot/California Adventure without the fireworks at the end. If you haven't done that, this will seem new. The "map" in the gift-shop helped to understand the scenes.

Horrendous customer service. Really awful, especially Grant and Lawnze. Not only did we have our own ticketing issues that these guys absolutely refused to rectify, I watched these 2 guys deal with ticketing problems with a group of elderly people. As soon as the group walked away, I heard derogatory expletives spoken about the group, completed with a chest bump as I am sure they were declaring themselves Masters of the Universe for being rude to a group of septuagenarians. I cannot make this stuff up. Yes, there was a "manger" (John) present. I know this not because he introduced himself as a manger, but because I asked later. I thought things would get better, but no. The rest of the staff continued to be rude and some fellow riders were stuck in the ride we'll after we exited.
As for the ride, It's grossly overpriced. It's a knock off of Epcot's Soarin'. Save your money. I am kicking myself for not looking at reviews first.

Much more affordable when buying the combo pack. Get you to events for about half the price. Would do this again, next time around.

With the six people in front of us, we waited for over an hour to get in. At that point only two of the four in our party could get in. They said it would take another 20 to 25 minutes for the other two to get in. We were finally told the equipment was not working once we complained numerous times. The workers are clueless. My advice is there are much better things to do with an hour in the Mall of America then wait in a hot line only to be disappointed!

I have been to Soarin at Disney World Epcot, FlyOver America is not as good. The roof of the apparatus you sit in blocks the top of screen, they spray you with cold water quite often, no scents like Soarin, film quality is not as good. It’s just OK.

In regard to focus, because of the spherical nature of our screen we can't achieve the same clarity you would see on an HDTV, but are committed to using the latest technology available. In fact, our film is projected in the latest 4K, 60-frame-per-second technology.
Also, there are numerous scents included throughout the ride. We will share your feedback with our technical team to ensure we have the best clarity possible and that all scents are working properly.
Hope to fly with you again.

What is the recommend age for this ride
Hello - We do not have a minimum age, but a minimum height requirement of 40" which is about the average 4 year old. Guests of all ages enjoy their experience with us!
Has the scenes changed since it's opened? We've done fly over america and Canada atleast 10 times since opening and so wondering if the cities it shows have changed yet? If not, is there an estimated timeline for when or if that will happen? Thanks!
Hello - Thank you for your question. While we know guests are hoping for additional content, it is a very expensive and time consuming process to add additional shows as all footage was captured by a talented crew that spent over a year travelling across the United States as well as having a crew on the ground here programming the ride. FlyOver America will be our flagship film for the foreseeable future, but we will continue to implement seasonal offerings such as FlyOver Canada and our Holiday show to enhance the experience.

On average, how long is the wait time?
Hello - Our flights take off approximately every 15 minutes and a guest can expect to spend 15-25 minutes inside the attraction. Wait times can exceed that during busy days. Our crew strives to get all guests through in a timely manner.

Is it wheelchair accessiblr
Hello -
FlyOver America is committed to making the experience as accessible and convenient as possible for all of our guests. All areas of our attraction are wheelchair accessible. FlyOver America features an amusement ride employing chairlift-style seats that lift guests up in the air. For safety reasons, in order to board the Ultimate Flying Ride, guests using wheelchairs must be able to transfer to the ride seating by themselves or with the assistance of a companion.
Guests who are unable to transfer from their wheelchairs to the ride seating may still enjoy the FlyOver America experience. We invite them to view the media of the main show from their wheelchairs (which remain stationary) on the flight deck. In such circumstances, the guest will be accompanied by one of our team members on the flight deck for the 10-minute duration of the ride. For safety reasons, companions are not allowed in this portion of the ride mechanism.

Are there size limitations for bigger people?
Hello –Thanks for reaching out to us!
We do not have a weight limit. If that is a concern for you our seats are 21" wide, which is larger than the average airplane seat. Also, our seatbelt extends out as well.
To get a bit better of an idea of the size of our seats you can get a glimpse of them in our trailer found on our website.
Let us know if you have any other questions and we look forward to having you take flight with us!
