Great place for kids on a rainy day

Spent a few hours here on a rainy day in Bemidji. Kids ages 8 to 12 loved it. Very inexpensive admission and lots of experiments and critters to check out.

What a super fun time! The interactive exhibits kept my grandkids, aged 6 and 9, totally entertained. To think that a town of a little more than 14,000 people can provide such an interactive array of interesting exhibits for children to explore is amazing. They are looking forward to a return visit.

I have gone to the Headwaters Science Center since I was in 4th grade for a field trip and have gone recently with my nieces and nephews. It is a great place for fun and learning and it is great we have such a fun place in Bemidji!

This is a hidden jewel in Northern Minnesota. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots of live animals and tons of interactive science exhibits. Perfect for a rainy day (or any day, really). Cheaper than taking the family toi a movie and a membership gets you in to many other science museums across the US. Well worth your visit!

I used to volunteer here and it is great! I loved being able to introduce the kids to animals like the bunnies and snakes. Some kids didn't like the snakes and some parents didn't either but it is great watching younger minds explore scienece!

This is a well run and informative science center. Every child has their favorite creepy creature to visit and the is even a nice gift store to buy things for the trip home.

This place is great for kids. We have taken my son, who is almost four, here probably five or six times in the past two years. He loves all of the hands on exhibits and has a blast with the animals.

I like this place. First off you can get in for free with the reciprocity agreement they have with other science museum memberships. A little of everything here, live raptors upstairs. Downstairs is a blend of children's museum and science based exhibits. As well as a dozen different snakes and reptiles. Here children can actually hold/touch the snakes with the... More

We were greeted with a friendly staff and there were activities for all ages! The staff even let our kids hold some of the animals. We will definitely be back in the future.
