We've been to Bemidji the last two summers and really enjoyed walking around and seeing the sculptures on practically every corner in the downtown area. They change from year to year (I didn't know that), because they're for sale. It's very interesting, even my teenage son likes to check them out.

Love the native statues made out of Rusty metal, the artist that completed these does great work and should be commended

We walked along three blocks on the sculpture walk in early July 2016. we walked from the Bemidji brewing company to Paul and Babe. There is an interesting variety of sculptures and each corner. Our toddler son's favorite was Humpty Dumpty. The walk is in the heart of downtown Bemidji. It passes by shops, bars, coffee shops and an ice... More

There are TONS of art sculpture pieces all over Bemidji. Kinda fun to park your car and walk/explore over downtown Bemidji. Lots of fun specialty shops to see as well! Free and entertaining for people of all ages.

The kids enjoyed the sculptures that they recognized such as Paul Bunyan, and the adults enjoyed the large variety of other sculptures. The Sculpture Walk can be linked to walks around the lake or a visit to the downtown stores or the museum. For a break, have an ice cream cone across the street or visit Morell's Chippewa Trading Post... More

The sculpture walk in downtown Bemidji is like the icing on the cake of a wonderful day - have a delicious meal on the patio of Tutto Bene, walk along Lake Bemidji and ponder being at the beginning of the national treasure that is the Mississippi River, do a little shopping, and all the while be surrounded by beautiful sculpture.... There are some permanent sculptures (such as the iconic Paul Bunyan and Babe, or the dancing Native American used as the image for this attraction), but also a significant number of temporary works which are eventually sold off. A fascinating bit of Americana. Best of all, it's free, so budget is no object.

The sculptures vary by the year but they are always interesting and bring a smile to my face. You will enjoy the sculptures in all the seasons and in all varied weather.

Pick up a map at the Visitor Center and walk through the downtown area to view public art on display. Stop at the Watermark Art Center and Gallery North for more art. My favorite sculpture is at the public library.
