Super place to shop and stretch your legs too!

She's open and setting up! Made an early trip this year, and scored some vintage Fiestaware pieces! Very nice collection on hard to find items. Brownie points a coming from the wife! She's been looking for this lipped ice pitcher for years!
This is a must stop! It gets better every year.

Lots of selection of glass!
Sep 2020
Haven't been here for over 20 years. Unbelievable selection of old glass including fine china, pottery, and all sorts of glass and other antiques. Great location near Beaver Bay.

I Love This Quirky-Funky Place!
Aug 2018 • Friends
I've stopped there several times on my travels up the shore. This past August, my visiting Granddaughter and I took a trip to Grand Marais, stopping on the way at Second Hand Rose. I left there without a purchase, but mulling over several things I saw. There were 3 gorgeous, colorful Ruffleware bowls. . .The last thing I need is more bowls. . .but I guess it isn't always about 'need.' On the way back, I debated, then stopped at the last minute, and bought them, feeling silly since I figured I could probably have found them on eBay. Well, guess what. . .I've checked weekly and there are NONE listed there. . .ever. Am I ever glad I stopped back! Such a sweet little interlude in every trip north.

Garage sale on steroids
Oct 2018
I’ve stopped at this place almost every year for the last 18 years. It’s a gigantic yard sale with high prices. Most of the items are here year after year, apparently surviving MN winters under their tarps. Fun to browse, but I have rarely bought anything.

Directions incorrect
Sep 2017 • Solo
We drove by and it was raining so all the tables were covered but will stop another time. The directions are wrong. This stop is outside town to the East, on the South side of the road. The sign does not say Second Hand Rose. The sign notes a thrift sho and has a good numb r of tables out front.

Well Organized, and Clean!
May 2017 • Friends
As Jason stated (TV-On the Road Again!) well worth the stop! Beautiful jewelry, nice assortment of antiques, collectables, or fishing/camping gear too. As usual, left the minnow bucket behind, and yes they had several to choose from! Has the biggest assortment of vintage glass I've ever seen. About an hour North of Duluth, and a good place to stretch your legs. Yes, a lot of Guy stuff too! Super spot for a gift or collectable. Well worth the stop! ENJOY!

Better and better.

I have been here every year for over 10 years now and the variety and organization gets better all the time.

Second hand dishes are their specialty, but the variety from rusted saw blades to southwestern pottery is worth the stop.

This time I got a peach Fire King creamer and sugar dish and a new cup and saucer (another specialty). Look for the tables covered in colored glass...and enjoy.

Good for collectors or those looking for a unique gift!
Jun 2016 • Family
Secondhand Rose is out "in the middle of nowhere" on Highway 61, about 30 minutes from Two Harbors and near Beaver Bay. You can't miss the place coming around the corner as the piles of dishes and porcelain will draw you like flies to honey. Nice to wander about the tables, which are neatly organized by type and color of glass. Great for collectors of specific types of china or glass.

There are also a few antiques in the main building and the smaller sheds and tents. My daughter wanted unique mugs and gifts for friends and managed to find exactly the right type of gifts. Prices seem inconsistent to me; some seemed right on the money, while other items priced a little high.

A must stop if you haven't been there before!
Jun 2016 • Couples
We've traveled past this place before and finally made the point to stop and look. We were not disappointed and glad we finally stopped! The market seemed to have just about everything for anybody. My wife found a neat little china bowl that was only placed out for about 20 minutes. I found a few old tools and cast iron pieces that I couldn't live without. The owner lady was very friendly and took the time to visit with us. It was very nice to hear about the history off the place and area. Beaver Bay was a huge smelting town and we were in town during the smelt run, but unfortunately, sunset was coming soon and we were riding motorcycle and still had 3 hours of travel to make it home. Can't wait until we drive by again to stop and see the latest items.

That strange little flea market place...
Aug 2014 • Family
Need to stretch your legs from the long drive Up North? Ready to ask for a deal? Missing a few pieces from an old heirloom set of dishes? Get ready to find it. This place has Everything Kitschy and plenty of things you don’t need – but I bet you’ll find something to purchase for a souvenir. For 20+ years this hardworking owner has made her living selling interesting odd things, antiques & collectibles - for many of us, it's a must-stop attraction each year.
