Was the best trip we've ever had in the great outdoors. We had total privacy. We would go again in a second

Gorgeous lake - large, relatively quiet, loons, eagles, turkey vultures, great shorelines. Beautiful big sky sunsets and the stars at night are incredible! Want to see the northern lights up there sometime. Public boat landing near Timber Bay is closed now for reconstruction but such a nice lake so be sure to access it elsewhere.

Such beautiful sights I see and such a lovely beach! I like the trampoline! It's so wonderful for the kids! But it broke this year so we couldnt go back this year which was kind of a bummer!!

The beach area was weed free and quiet and there was also a park and a dock and a separate fishing dock. There is adequate parking near the beach or even at the nearby boat launch. I enjoyed the path through the woods for a small hike.

Beautiful, uncrowded. Lot's of islands and rugged shoreline to camp, fish, swim. View eagles, deer, bears

This lake is 21 miles long with enough coves and bays it makes you feel like you are the only one on the lake!

I loved it all. Can't think of anything I really disliked. A few mosquitoes, but then, you expect that in the Minnesota backcountry!

We cruised from Timber Bay in a pontoon boat and saw Bald Eagles, loons, and other wild life. The lake is calm and quit even though some are water skiing. Take the boat out late at night and check out the zillion stars! Fishing was almost none existent and the only 4 Northern we caught in 7 days were all... More

Stunning! Lots of space and small islands to explore. Its root beer water but its clean and lovely to swim in! Watch out for the rocks, theres alot but if you pay attention they wont get in your way.
