The almost $20 price each per person/child is INSANE. It was just me and a 5 yr old. Walking through trying to figure out what was where was confusing, and since there was SO many kids there, esp with field trips, we did nothing but walk around. Complete waste of $39.00. If I would have known 1st, we would have just got cider & donuts and left. 1st time there and last.

WARNING PARENTS OF LITTLE ONES - BE PREPARED TO PAY $14-20pp (weekday after 4:30 PM vs weekend) admission for your toddler since any child 23 mos & older is charged the same price as an adult - made me sick to watch the gal ring up the family in line in front of us who had a 2 mos old and a toddler, then the cashier clarified, "how old is he?" (2 & 1/2 the mom replied), so then she explained, "Ok, she's free (the infant), but that'll be 3 of you for $42 (!)" The mom explained, "we just wanted to come pick some apples," and the gal explained that it would be a separate charge of $8 for the bag of picked apples and you still have to pay the admission fee. The $14 includes a hay ride, petting farm & bounce house for the toddler - the haunted barn & karaoke obviously not an option for a toddler. $42 admission +$8 for bag of picked apples + $6 for 1/2 dozen donuts + $9 for gallon of cider + $4 apple shaped plastic sippy cup + $4 cup of apple slush for parents to share = ~$75 for a family of 3 for a day at the apple orchards = Capitalism represented at its best. Beautiful orchard - just not feasible for family on a tight budget.

Michelle, We're sorry you feel this way about our farm. Everyone is charged the same admission price because once in you and your family will do the 25 attractions that are included in your admission price all together. You'll do the cornmaze, hayrides, haunted house, and all that together. You can also do them an unlimited amount of times while your on our farm. Our prices are competitive with our orchards and farm stands in the area. We also make our products in house which you can see being made when you visit our store.

Pretty good cider and donuts. They have all kinds of other activities for people with kids. Depending on the time of year, the activities vary.

MPG6354, Thanks for visiting our Orchards, we're glad you had a great experience. Most of our country fair activities are geared towards the people with families. However our older crowds can still venture through a cornamze, play miniature golf, take a trip on a wagon ride, or experience a ride on an antique fire engine. Thanks again for visiting, we hope to see you this fall!

My favorite orchard by far. Lots to do for young kids especially. If no kids, then can just go to the store for hot donuts. Yum.

What people are saying about price is true. This place is an absolute RIP OFF and charge you for every little thing they can. The cider and donuts are mediocre at best and not worth the Disneyland prices. The haunts are not that good here and not worth the money. If you want a good local Michigan haunt try going to Erebus instead.

Nonanonynmous, We're sorry you feel that way about our farm. Our Country fair has over 25 attractions that are all included in your admission price, that you can do an unlimited amount of times once in our fair. We have 6 haunted attractions that we open at night in the fall. In 2018 we were voted in the top 30 haunted houses in the United States, and #7 in Michigan. Erebus does have a lot going for them, but its 2 totally different experiences.

Last year my wife and I welcomed our first baby into our lives. As part of the experience I got to be a stay at home dad for several months.

My wife and I had been going to Wiard's for years, as it's only a couple of miles away from where we live. The cider and donuts are always a nice treat. We've also attended parties held on site, and we always have a great time.

However, back to our daughter. As a six month old, she loved this place. It could have been partly because of the animals. Putting her in her stroller we'd walk around for hours. I'm not sure what it was about the place, but she enjoyed it so much that we bought a season pass. Living just down the street, the two of us would visit Wiard's and just walk around at least once a week. For this reason alone, it was worth the very reasonable season pass price.

We went last weekend for the first time. We will never come back to this place. So over priced and not a lot to do. Kids prices are the same price as adults $17 a person. Then you have to pay for other activities: pony rides, face painting, apple launcher. Such a rip off!

Hey JMILLIM, Correct, some of our activities are contracted by outside vendors, so they do require an additional cost. However, Over 25 attractions are included in our admission price, and you can do an unlimited amount of times while on our farm. Everyone is the same price because adults, and children will both partake in our activities. We're sorry your visit to our farm wasn't a pleasant one.

We traveled from South Carolina to visit family. For a nice Sunday afternoon, they took us apple picking. When we got there, we were told: "all the apples in Michigan were destroyed in the winter vortex but we could 'buy' some in the store." When I said 'if all the apples were destroyed, where did you get the ones in the store?' We did not get an answer. So, we went to the store and bought 2 bags of apples, some cider, and some 'homemade' doughnuts. The apples have wax on them and are from last year and pithy, the cider was bitter and the doughnuts were made sometime last century. On their website, it still says apple picking. RIP OFF. It should be on their website that you CANNOT pick apples. If I ever get back to Pure Michigan, I will not go to Wiards Orchard and we do not recommend it!

Hey DianeR1738, unfortunately last year was a tough one for a lot of apple growers across the state of Michigan. Not only did we lose 90% of our crop, we also lost almost 100 trees. Trust us, we would have loved to sell more apples than we did. We have multiple separate Orchards on site. The u pick Orchards that we let our guests pick from, and then our private orchards where we get the apples that we sell in our store. I can assure you all the apples were from that season. We have no way of storing apples anywhere on our from year to year so that's not possible for our smaller operation. Our donuts are made every single day, and during the hours of 9am- and 4pm most days you can get the donuts hot off the fryer. You can see the donuts being made right in front of you, and you can also see the cider being pressed right in front of you. On our website in the u-pick tab and all of our social media pages we posted about our light apple crop, we tried to let as many people know as possible before arriving to our farm. We also had apple shaped chalkboards posted at all the welcome areas stating that we had a limited u pick season. Again, we're sorry that you didn't have a great experience to our farm, we want all of our guests to have a great trip from start to finish. We sure hope that you can give us another chance if your ever in the area again with your family.
