This is a really interesting place if you like history. Its kind of back in the woods but you don't feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The interpretors were very friendly and informative and have no problem with you touching the displays....More

This is a walk-through-the-woods, walk-through-history, please-touch park/museum. Ten dollars gets you knowledgeable interpreters at each building who encourage questions and provide opportunities to touch Michigan history. From the Native American wigwam to the Michigan farmhouse, each stop is a different era of history. We could...More

We went to check out the Heritage Landing Park as to appropriateness for our grandsons. It is extremely well done, while not being overwhelming. Children aged 7 and up will find the interactive aspects very involving and meaningful. The structures, furnishings and re-enactors provide a...More

A small inexpensive history themed park, with lots of room for kids to run of excess energy and some interesting history to keep adults entertained. Go in the morning and take a picnic lunch then spend the afternoon at one of the local beaches.
