About
TreeRunner West Bloomfield, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts aged 4 and up, offers numerous zip lines and aerial ropes courses with various difficulty levels for endless treetop fun. Our ten self-guided aerial trails don't require prior climbing experience. After a safety briefing and harness fitting, climbers choose a course fitting their comfort level and navigate its bridges or elements at their own pace, taking around 20-45 minutes per course. Climbing tickets grant unlimited climbs over a three-hour period, with park staff always on hand for support. Our "double-clipped-on" safety harness technology ensures climbers are always connected to a safety cable. The park provides age-appropriate challenges, making it a fantastic adventure for kids, teens, and adults.

A group of us (2 adults and 4 children) booked in advance to make a trip to TreeRunner. When an unfortunate incident happened personally that required us to move our trip to mid-October, it was not an easy task to reschedule. Kathryn Bauman at the call center was supposed to help us. She was unresponsive, and never returned my messages. Due to fact we originally planned to climb on a Saturday, since needing to move to a Sunday school night, we wanted an earlier time. Never happened. But we made the best of it... arrived early but due to the COVID processes in place, it took well over an hour to get from registration to the obstacles. Not realizing they closed an hour earlier on Sundays, we got to our 2nd obstacle and were told probably be our last climb. It was very frustrating to know we paid hundreds of dollars to be there, could not get the lady at the call center to accommodate our change in time, took over an hour to get into the air and then had to tell our kids that sorry, we can only do two obstacles. Feeling defeated, I discussed our situation with Joanna, Mark and Destiny. They were incredibly understanding and showed true empathy to our experience. They went above and beyond what was necessary to work with us, and I am very appreciative of it. We love TreeRunner and have been multiple times in the past. We will be customers for life, and we cannot say enough about the staff in general... let alone when we brought an issue to their attention. Honestly, start to finish, top notch. We know they cannot control what the call center does or does not do, but they do their absolute best to make up for it and make it a great experience. Thank you Joanna, Mark and Destiny!! We look forward to seeing you next season!

Great place to be active! The day we went it was supposed to be a high of 90 degrees. We spent just over 2 hours doing the course at 10am to a little after 12pm. I must say it was SHADED (because you are in the trees of course) and there were NO BUGS. No black flies, no mosquitos....that was my biggest concern about being in the woods. I loved the various levels of difficulty. There were a bunch of people there, but not once did I feel rushed to complete an obstacle...there were so many, people could spread out easily. We had a ton of fun. You do have to have some level of physical fitness to do the harder courses...my upper body was sore for two days afterward (I consider myself fit). So much fun. I would totally do it again!

We always have a blast when we come here. It's a great way to get some challenging physical activity. It makes for fun bonding time with family and friends. The courses are very well engineered and appropriately difficult according to the ratings. And they have courses for people of all physical conditions and ability levels. The equipment is well made and very well maintained and the staff members are quick to help if any difficulties arise. It's certainly not the cheapest way to spend a few hours, but we believe it is well worth the price. If you have a fear of heights, this is a great way to work through it.

If you have long hair, you'll want to put it in a bun or ponytail. I recommend bringing along water and snacks and some folks may need a little bug spray. Make sure to wear clothing well suited to outdoor fitness, but also keep in mind that it can get scuffed or snagged. They do sell gloves on site and they do the job, but they're cheap. I bought a set of belay gloves and that makes a big difference.

My name is Kiesance. I previously attended TreeRunners Bloomfield with a group. I personally purchased 8 ADULT tickets. Two (2) people cancelled. I was told the day of my visit, that I would receive two vouchers that would never expire in my email. Instead, when I went to check my email today to finally use them, and I found a gift card with an amount that would not cover two adult tickets. I wanted to use what should have been 2 vouchers and purchase 1 extra ticket. I called the Bloomfield location to see if they could help me with the problem or if they would like me to simply book my reservation with 2 youth tickets because that cost was closer to the total of the amount the gift card could afford. I spoke with Jasmine, she took complete ownership on behalf of TreeRunner for the incident. I was told by Jasmine that she would call her supervisor and make Kathryn Bauman aware, and she would call me back in 5-10 minutes.I waited over an hour before calling back, just for Jasmine to tell me that Kathryn said there was nothing she could or would do,all because the original transaction was from a previous season? She said, I can use the amount for one ticket, purchase the other two, and she'll possibly call me tomorrow. I was told she was too busy to talk to me today. Even Though they were aware I was trying to book for today at 3:10. I don't want my money to be wasted and I don't want to pay for the mistake of a previous employee. Please make this right.

It was an amazing experience for me and my 2 kiddos ages 8 and 12. The staff do an amazing job making sure you feel comfortable before you go out on courses alone. They have multiple levels for each difficulty level, however I wish they had more blue and black levels (only 2 each). The only con honestly is the price! Definitely would go more if it was more reasonably priced. Watch out for 25% coupons on Thursdays!

Our time for 7 family members was at 9:40 with also a large camp group. The instructions took almost an hour. The group had helmets on so there had to be discussion and wait time about that issue. The staff person had all the little kids to check on and explain several times because many were not paying attention and I did not see any help for her from the group counselors. We were compensated for the lost time and thank the staff for their understanding. Our observations and dissatisfaction is with the step one instruction process. 4 of our 7 have been there before and understand the safety protocols. We should have had a few minutes by ourselves from the large group. Our 3 first timers would have quickly listened and had the benefit of the other family members. We should have been blocked from scheduling that time since the campers were scheduled also. It would not have been a problem to have scheduled later in the morning. Again, the staff did as good as they could under the circumstances but management needs to look at better process to facilitate the instruction process. Perhaps stations like putting on the climbing harness and then moving to the next station staff person to explain and demonstrate the safety protocols. In large groups instead of constantly asking or waiting for cooperation of talking individuals, just continue for those listening and moving them on but telling non listeners - sorry stand to the side and wait until I can move these people out. Once we got through the initial instruction frustrations, we had a wonderful family day.

Had a small birthday celebration for my son and two friends. Everyone loved it! The parents appreciated that is was an activity based party and they enjoyed seeing their kids gain confidence as they worked through the courses. Pizza delivery was easy and being able to bring in a cooler of cold drinks and snacks was perfect. Will be back for sure!!!

My daughter came to TreeRunner West Bloomfield with her Girl Scout Troop. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. When my daughter was scared on one of the elements, a staff member rushed up to help her and coached her through it. I didn't think my daughter would end up crossing that element, but the staff member helped it happen. My daughter went on to complete 5 courses and even went back to the one that frightened her a second time. Thank you TreeRunner for an excellent experience!

Three of us visited on 8/15 ages 53, 51, 22 and spent 3 hours running through green, blue and black routes. Check in was easy - be sure to do the waiver online beforehand. Orientation was quick and efficient and off we went. Green and Blue routes were fun. The black routes was very challenging for us but so glad we tried it. There are picnic tables to rest and eat at. They allowed me to go back to the car for water as well. The visit was well worth it though we were a bit sore the next day. There families of all ages there and plenty of help was available if needed.

This was an incredibly fun and challenging experience. I loved that there are various routes to go on (easy to really hard) and that each element was something totally unique from the rest. The area is much bigger than expected and my whole group plus many others were able to explore without many bottlenecks.

What I did not love about this place was they do not have helmets for anyone to wear. And although nobody really likes a helmet (myself included), it would’ve been better and safer to have them. I’ve been to other places like this and a helmet is always provided. There were many times that my head and neck were banged up against obstacles, cables, and the trees when zipping into them.

Another thing to note is that some of the obstacles don’t have the best cable placement for hooking your harness to, so it made some of the obstacles more difficult/annoying because you had to keep reaching back to free your harness carabiners from the obstacles. Not only that, but typically you would have the cables to hold onto above your head or at least higher up on the obstacles, not at waist level which can make balancing and completing the obstacles extremely challenging.

Overall I would go again, but beware, you will likely come home with a few scratches and bruises as everyone in my group of 8 did. Great workout, good challenging courses, fun experience, but I wish they had helmets and some better cables for navigation.
