I am a 60 something golfer that wanted to play 9 holes one weekday morning. I couldn’t find a golfing buddy so asked my non golfing wife if she would like to ride with me to keep me company, which I got a yes to. Went to check in and pay my fees, when I was told I owe $7 just for her to ride with me. Seriously ?! The carts going out anyway and she isn’t playing. How is she impacting or getting $7 of value off the course? What is that all about? The course is a well kept up in a beautiful mature setting. Fun to play - but be forewarned about this very odd policy they have.

I had not played Oak Lane in a number of years. Played it today with a friend. Course in nice condition. Both sand and water come into play, but not in excess. The staff is nice and helpful. A fun and challenging course which is a par-70. Four sets of tees which measure 3817-, 4913-, 5729- and 6172-yards,

Not too many golf courses have an address on Main Street. Oak Lane is just a few blocks north of the stoplight in Webberville. In mid-August, we found the course to be in ideal condition. The greens and fairways were absolutely perfect. The course is mature and rolling. It is not a long course - 5629 yards from the white tees and 6172 from the tips. It offers a nice day on the links for golfers of all skill levels. You will not get penalized on any good shots. Errant shots are seldom fatal. The club house is modestly sized. The kitchen offers a basic menu of well prepared food. Service is great.
