Throughout the years, Westview Orchards has evolved from a simple farm to an Amazing 18 Acres of Farm Fun, Winery, and Fabulous Food. During your visit to Westview Orchards, stock up on homegrown fruits and farm fresh vegetables. Sample fresh apple cider from the state-of-the-art Cider Mill and taste homemade confections from our bakery. Visit and pet the variety of farm animals at our petting farm. Challenge yourself, in one of our 7 acre corn mazes, play like a kid in the Kidz Korner playground. Seasonally pick Strawberries, Cherries, Apples and Pumpkins, or just sit back and enjoy a cozy wagon ride through the picturesque orchard. We invite everyone to visit Westview Orchards for a memorable day of outdoor fun. See firsthand the dedication of the 6th generation and staff, whose goal is to bring guests the highest quality fruits and vegetables, as well as a place where old fashioned values and fun are still part of the traditions. MAEAP: Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program Westview earned MAEAP verification from the Michigan Department of Agriculture in 2009 after a two year long process. What does this mean? MAEAP is a partnership effort that aims to protect natural resources and build positive communities by counseling Michigan farmers that operate farms of all sizes and all commodities on environmentally responsible agricultural production practices. To become MAEAP-verified, farmers must complete three comprehensive steps: educational seminars, a thorough on-farm risk assessment, and development and implementation of an action plan addressing potential environmental risks. To retain MAEAP verification status, a farm must repeat all three steps including MDA inspection every three years. Westview has always understood the importance of being good stewards of the land. Working with Michigan State University in 1980, Westview Orchards began implementing the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) using insect traps to monitor problem insects, and computerized weather stations to predict crop infestations. The family also implemented new planting configurations to include insect "repellent" techniques after MSU conducted research at Westview. In 1994, the family farm was recognized by the county soil conservation district as Macomb County's "Conservation Farm of the Year" for their IPM practices, use of special "prescribed" orchard grasses that reduce soil erosion on the orchard's hills, implementing trickle irrigation throughout the orchards and participating in on-going MSU research to reduce their use of materials.

Westview Orchards is easy to get to. Great selection of apples and they have a bakery that has amazing pies. You can wander over to the kids area, enjoy a hot dog or burger off the grill.

What a awesome place. The wine bar is upsatirs in the big red barn. Cool lights hang from the wood beams and you can relax on the leather sofas or grab a table and chairs. Wine is very good and tasty. You can even rent out the place for a event, such as baby shower, card night, or just for a family gathering. Wouls make a cool place to get married at also.

Very disappointing time. Overpriced for what they offer. Web site stated 8 bucks per person and a giant bouncing belly. When arriving, price was 10 bucks and half the "attractions" were closed. No bouncy belly no slide etc. The empty wagon ride just passed us by as we waited in the sun at the waiting area and many areas were fenced off for ease of access. Just too much money for what was offered. Don't recommend.

My wife and I figured for great peaches take a ride out to Romeo and get some fresh peaches and we stopped at Westview Orchards...............mistake!! We bought a small bag of peaches for around $9 and took them home to Royal Oak. When we tried one later, it was terrible!! It had no flavor or juice, and was mushy inside, not firm at all. We thought maybe we happen to get a bad one and tried a couple others..............same thing!! What a totally wasted trip and a waste of our $9!! Will never stop at this place again. We can certainly buy better peaches in the grocery store, and return them if bad. I cannot believe these were "fresh" peaches. I am wondering if they are selling stuff from last year that they have frozen somewhere??

If you go to Westview, be prepared for them to dig deep into your wallet or purse. Pick your own, orchard, petting farm, bakery...they have it all, right? Yes. And they know it and completely take full advantage of this. The staff is rude and insensitive when you question their pricing; i.e, 10.00 per person to pick cherries, everyone must have a bag that goes to pick. When my wife said we don't need that many cherries, want to have a fun experience for the kids. The response from the courteous staff..."you can freeze them." Yeah, just what I like to do with fresh cherries.

Don't fall for their sales pitch...quaint, nostalgic, small town etc.

Drive 6 more miles northeast to Blakes.

I used to come here every year but this is the last time i went to this crap place. First of all they have removed not 1 or 2 but rows and rows of cherry trees. Completely gone. You call this joke of a place now cherry picking and charge arm and a leg for it? It should be called find a cherry tree. On top of that they have cut all low hanging branches and you can't even get to most of the cherries even with a ladder. To add more insult they give you this useless small box to fit all your cherries and charge $9 each per person. The box size is exactly as big as you get strawberries in at a regular store. Give me a break! I asked them to give a bigger bag and they said they will give a slightly bigger one for $25 each? Are you kidding me? I can buy a whole carton of cherries from sam's club cheaper than that!

And you want to know the best part? They rented out half of there parking lot to a dealership as there were 50 cars parked all of the same model at the end.

There greed has just ruined the cherry picking experience for me and my family. There are better farms out there and this is definitely not the one. Never again!

Waste of time and a rip off! If your group is bigger than 5 you have to buy a bushel of apples. That's 160+ apples. So basically you have to buy apples that you're going to throw away. What's worse though is they don't tell you that until you're all the way up to the counter. My family wasted 45 minutes in their line just to get back in the car and drive to another orchard. Big disappointment.

Don't waste your time. Over priced and way over waited. Go farther north on VanDyke. The people are unfriendly and only looking to get all the dollars they can. Go to Blakes or Big Red a little farther but so much better.

We have been to Westview many times, always with class field trips and on fall harvest weekends. If you attend during their fall harvest times there are many things to do and very big crowds. Prices are substantial- but most comparable farms are during the fall harvest. We just visited Westview this summer hoping to pick peaches. They have no peaches due to a bad weather spring a couple years ago. So we paid just to do the petting farm. I remembered there are 3 barnyard areas, so it seemed worth the cost. Only 1 of these 3 areas were open. The rest are all closed- although you can see the animals from far away... There is a big slide you could ride- but after hiking it to the top my kids discovered you have to pay $1.50 to go down. Everywhere that you TRY to walk you find locked gates. Just to get over to the bathroom was a maze. Their donuts are mediocre and so is their cider (cider not avail and in the summer). We will never attend during the summer again.
