A Bridge that’s never too far!
Jul 2020
Took a cable car for 10 minutes and walked 2hrs in a simmering hot day to the bridge. The view is astonishing! Lucky to have crossed the bridge all by ourselves.

Nice views, great experience
Jun 2019
Nice and remote place with stunning views. Should be visited since glacier is melting. Best time to visit during the week as the gondola is very small and waiting queue could be long on the weekend.

Challenging but worth it.
Sep 2019 • Couples
We took the cable car up first thing in the morning to hike to the bridge. It was pouring with rain and the cloud was low so we weren’t sure we’d make it safely. However, the path was well marked throughout and we kept going.
If you’re used to climbing mountains and scrambling, then you’ll enjoy this hike. It involved scrambling, crossing waterfalls and clinging onto cliff edges. The rain and slippery rocks added to the difficulty but we have experienced conditions like this before so took it steadily. It took around two hours to get to the bridge.
The bridge itself was stunning but took some nerve to cross and gave us an adrenaline rush. It’s not for the feint hearted!!
I would not recommend this hike to anyone who isn’t reasonably fit, has dodgy knees or isn’t used to climbing mountains. It’s difficult and dangerous in some parts.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience and glad we did it despite getting soaked to the core!

Amazing! (But not easy)
Sep 2019
It was my husband and I's first hike of all time.
NOT EASY! Even with people that were good, they told us it was more than intermediate.

We took our time and it took us 1h30 mins to climb (from the cable car). Lots of sweat and pictures later, you reach the bridge. We went on a cloudy day so there was only a few of us.
Had I known there was a cafe on top, I would've continue to walk.

It is absolutely worth the effort. It is breath taking and I would go back anytime.
Make sur to reserve before. We were lucky it wasn't full. Apparently the next day was full.

Not sure it’s worth the wggort

The trail to this bridge to nowhere is wickedly steep and lots of rock scrambling and lots of exposure so go early so you won’t bake in the sun. Cloudy days are good. Bridge goes over what was once a huge glacier that’s recedes quite a bit. Not sure what the purpose is. $20 round trip on the cable car and you have to tell them when you’ll be coming back so the time constraint is always there plus the bus runs infrequently so it’s not easy to get to unless you have a car.

Great heights
Jul 2019 • Family
Other reviews affirm this is a long steep path up and alongside a high mountain from cable car to bridge and back. Good knees ares essential. Hot and humid in high summer. Fantastic Jurassic Park like scenery. You MUST have a head for heights for the cable car ride and if you want to cross the bridge. You don’t have to cross the bridge to complete the hike. The hike / climb is to bridge and back to cable car. We booked cable car on line for five of us. Finding spaces for 2 and 3 at slightly different times. When we arrived there were spaces for all of us up and coming down earlier. You book the times on line and on arrival at the bottom receive two cards showing your up and down times. But, if there are no shows you take the space. When you get up, don’t worry the light indicating you can open the door does eventually change from red to green. Hikers need at least 4 hours to hike from top cable car station, time at bridge and back. Sheep are friendly. Memorable day.

Amazing surroundings
Sep 2018 • Couples
Love the hike and surroundings, the view from the bridge on the glacier is worth it.. the alpine Trail direction Trift Hütte is Heavy but to be so close to the glacier is amazing, you can sleep in the hut at night and walk back the next day.
Don’t forget to make a reservation for the Gondel! It’s small and a big possibility it’s sold out on a sunny day.

What an incredible and memorable adventure by hiking
Aug 2018 • Friends
Your eyes and your soul will thank you for the acquired emotions during this walk. Note that it is quite a difficult one, you gotta be in a good mental shape to constantly go up.
You can either take a cable car that takes you to the station in just 15 min from where you start a hike or get there by feet and it will take you around 2 hours and maybe more to get to the station. From there you have another 1 and a half hour of hiking till the bridge. If nothing changed since Aug 2018 we got the tickets to the cable car online for EUR21 per ticket.
The bridge is built above the Trift lake that has a turquoise color and was formed due to the Glacier melting. You can also see the Glacier when you reach to the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge the path continues with blue signs and it is more difficult than the one to the bridge. We took it and can assume it takes you to the Glacier (well, at least close to it). The views are spectacular!! But it takes a lot of effort and strength to get there. Because we decided to take this path, we totally forgot about the time and were late to the last cable car. It stops working after 17:00. So, we were forced to get down to our car by foot and it took us not less than 2 hours to get back. Rain made our walk back even more adventurous.
Swiss Alps are the most friendly mountains with no dangerous species like poisonous snakes or other non-human friendly inhabitants. Hence the walk till the bridge is a very safe and unforgettably beautiful. If you’re lucky you will meet some friendly ships on the way to the bridge and also maybe some Swiss cows (Milkas).
Such an amazing adventure that will definitely be remembered for ever!!
