We visited on a Saturday and the museum was closed but the scarecrows were outside - lots of them! Pretty area, large parking lot. Still a good bit to see on the outside and you could see what was in the yard. Glad we stopped :)

We had great experience. The story teller were amazing and look on my kids eyes were priceless. As they can’t imagine bed out of grass and understanding the meanings of “don’t let the bugs bite”. It’s fun activity to with your little ones.

The Museum is a virtual time capsule of what Troy Corners was like, circa 1880. Various period arts and crafts are demonstrated. Imagine what printing the newspaper was like, when type Fonts were stored in wooden drawers, the editor picked up the type one letter at a time, the pages were printed, and an Assistant had to recover each letter of type and return it to the proper drawer. Folks with a Computer Science background will be amazed at the similarities between the functions today's computers perform, in laying out a page of content, with what was done 140 years ago. So much changed, and so much didn't. Also of interest was a wood-and-metalworking demonstration from the same era. Get the guided tour. It's highly informative.

People mentally transported to a more pleasant time when all visitors civil and welcoming. Almost magical! Constitution Cafe series their best offering. Sharing perspective via Socratic environment. Great leadership, well run, cost effective community asset. Troy should be proud to support!
